And it’s time for another art journal layout! I had so much fun creating this and I hope you like it and you will enjoy watching it too.
For my layout today I used the quote “Escape the ordinary” and I had this idea of having a keyhole and butterflies escaping through it. Not sure how ideas come but they just pop in my head the minute I see a quote.
On today’s video I am going to show you a very cool technique using acrylic paints and micro glaze. The technique can be done with Vaseline too and it gives that peeled paint look.
I used lots of other techniques, including stamping, splattering, inking and blending, distressing my papers, I even did a bit of collage and some die cutting! Tons of fun!
I also used my all time favorite techniques with my big brush markers and my white gel pen. They never get old for me!

Hi Vicky. I love this. I am learning lots of new techniques from you. I am trying to develop my art journal skills, so I hope you don’t mind but i have made a small copy in a little book my friend gave me when I retired to live in Spain.
I dont have all of the supplies you used but have made some substitutions.
Do you mind if I share this with groups I am in on Facebook if ,ofcourse, I credit you?

Very pretty. I am new to the concept of art journaling, very inspiring video.
As always Vicky your videos are so inspirational. I’m a novice Art Journalist & therefore I appreciate all the techniques you demonstrate. Thank you so much.
I really love this one as it’s a simpler layout for a novice like me, but still beautiful. I especially love the way you created the framework by cutting away the top pages, fabulous!
Happy crafting ?xx
