tag journal

Hi! It’s mixed media Tuesday and today I am back with a fun layered tag journal. I am featuring products from the latest Art by Marlene collection. The whole collection is currently available at Joggles and has 15% OFF.  You can find links to everything I used if you scroll down to the end of this post.

My little layered tag journal has 5 pages and by using collage techniques I created fun backgrounds and focal points. It’s a really fun process and you can watch the video below.

  1. Your work is so inspiring. So many ideas on how to use the materials I have collected. Love the Art By Marlene products! Thank you for sharing!

  2. Just a friendly warning joggle.com will not let you check out unless you order more than 12.00 before tax . I will never order from the company again…I tried to look else where for the items from this tutorial but couldn’t find them.
    Just so sad.

    1. Hi Ginny. franticstamper.com has some Art by Marlene products. You might find what you’re looking for there. As far as I know, there’s no minimum order requirement. Fran does seem to lag behind other online stores in stocking new products, but if you’re not in a hurry to get the latest …. Debbie F

        1. You’re welcome, Ginny! I’ve had good experiences with franticstamper.com and hope, if you give them a try, that you do as well. Best to you.

  3. This is such a cute tag album. I love watching you create with the Art by Marlene products and now I am going to go figure out how I can make something like this with what I have.

  4. Love your projects using Marlene’s elements. Is she alsoGreek? Her designs are so colorful and whimsical. I think the last two pages are my favorites, but they’re all great.

  5. Gosh, Vicky, these tags are so beautiful! The colors are gorgeous! I love them all. They make my heart so happy. ?

  6. I smiled the whole time I watched this video. What a fun, sweet, wonderful tag album. I love the papers and your designs are always the best! Love, love, love it!

  7. How playful is that collection and it’s clear that you were having yourself a great time creating! I just love the quotes you used — especially the one about avoiding stress by staying home and crafting! So appropriate for these times (and any time really!)!! I also love that you gave yourself a crown!! You deserve it, your majesty!!!!! When the video started and you were flipping through the journal, I immediately thought of the tunnel book project you did some years ago. That was such a great and fun project and I’ve been wanting to try one ever since. It’s on my list of things to try!! What I appreciate most from the video today is the idea that an art journal can be anything and all types of things. There are SO many ways to do an art journal and I’ve learned that from watching you. I have a journal I’ve started that is a sort of history (got the idea from watching Dyan Reveley’s videos last year). Making some pages about the times we’re living through so that generations to come might have an idea of what we went through. As someone who loves genealogy (another hobby) and history, I thought it might be fun. It is, but I haven’t done much of it recently. Need to catch up. Anyway, thank you so much for the great video. It was fun watching you have fun!!

  8. I have watched and love the different types of things you do from full pages to tags. It is so much to watch you and then try to make them. Thank you

  9. Love this little tagbooklet Vicky. Always great to see how you make products your own, like you did with the tags in different sizes.
I live in The Netherlands and there are also mailproblems, for example: my online craft store just got her Kitch Flamingo products today, while others stores had it a week after release. Just depending on the wholesaler and mail.
You are such a great inspiration.
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful week.
