Today, I’m sharing a step-by-step tutorial on how to create this winter-themed art journal page using my Dewdrops collection. This project combines soft pastel hues, layered textures, and delicate details to evoke the serenity of a snowy day.
The focal point is a charming girl holding a snowball, surrounded by winter florals, pinecones and touches of volume paste for added dimension. The background was created with a mix of my favorite techniques, including stenciling, stamping, and splattering, to achieve a soft, dreamy effect.

I just love how complicated the background looks but once you see the steps in the video everything is so easy to come together!.
Rice paper, stamping and rub-ons blend so beautifully together!
I did a lot of stenciling too that adds so much in every page, especially when you use pastes!

So sorry to hear you’re under the weather, but I’m awfully tickled that you found the energy to give us a mixed media page. I especially enjoyed your tips from rice paper glue to get rid of the shine to how to flatten the ephemera a bit. Be sure to get some rest and feel better soon.
I did include my blog info, however, it’s been ages since I’ve updated it at all.
I am so sorry to hear that you aren’t feeling well today, Vicky, yet you take the time to demo another gorgeous mixed media page for us! I love the square look, perfect for these die cuts and rice paper. And the girl is super cute! Using the rice paper to tone down the shine worked perfectly . Thank you for sharing another great project idea with us, but now it’s time to tuck in with some soup and crackers, tea and toast, and rest! Sending healing hugs your wayl
Thank you for another fun video filled with tips and ideas. May you feel better soon. Take care of you.
