Time for an art journal after popular demand and today’s project is all about cooking and kitchen!
To create my project I used glaze for a fun technique on the background and lots of chipboard die cuts from a set I got by Pebbles.
The tiles on the background (my kitchen’s wall) are shiny in real life but it was so difficult to catch the gloss on the photo. Make sure to watch the video for the real thing!
Using printed die-cuts as my focal points was so much fun and I completed the project in one evening. I will be using more for sure in the future!

Fun way to use chipboard pieces. Your art journal techniques inspire me to try new products in my journal.

Hello Vicky! I am a big fan of everything you create! but so far this one is my favorite! because it reminds me so much of my grand-mother’s kitchen! it was yellow too!
I really love everything you do! and you are a big inspiration to me since I am Greek also! I hope I can be as good as you one day!
Vicky, I love it!!! Mostly the background. Great, great Idea!
Vicky what a fantastic art jounal page. I just love it, and can’t wait to try it myself !!!!
Please, more art journal pages 🙂
I keep list of my favorite things for those days when I need inspiration, baking is certainly one of them.
One of the things I LOVE about your journal pages is the perspective (is that the right art term?). Just the shelves and tiled wall, the roof with the kitty looking at the moon, the witch from the waist down…
Thank you for your inspirating videos, my daughter and I truly enjoy watching them <3
Really love this page.
Love your work. I never get tired of watching you create. Thx for sharing :)
Love,love,love your works.
You inspire me.
I began my art journal because of you.
Thanks a lot
I really love this page. I feel so silly….I got that SSS kit and thought, “how should I use these die cuts?” I thought I’d stick one here or there, but WOW!… You’ve shown me that I am not using my creative mind. Your video is, as always, fabulous and so instructive. Thanks so much for sharing this terrific project.
I have to add…the background just blew me away. So simple, but amazing results. I think I had my mouth hanging open while I watched. Wonderful!!! Thanks again.
I love your work! I’m trying to buy enough materials for three people for Christmas and had a question on the supplies. I see there are three products that are the harvest chips. Are these the same products but just from different vendors? If so, do I just need one harvest set for each person?
Hi Teresa,
All three packages linked are the same. They were all sold out in SimonSaysStamp where i got them, so I was linking to many stores to make it easier for my viewers to find them.
Your art journals are incredible. I look forward to doing this first one with family soon. You probably already know this, but if you can figure out how to make kits of the supplies needed so we can just make one purchase would be amazing. I almost gave up on buying materials because I had to hunt all around the net to find the supplies. I imagine as time goes on, I’ll build up an inventory of supplies and won’t need a “kit” for every page, but maybe you can create a few art journal starter kits to get people started?
Hi Vicky! I love every journal page that you do. You are truly an inspiration and I have created every journal layout that you have shown. I don’t go out and buy the materials you use but rather use what I already have to make my journal my own unique artwork rather than having it look exactly like yours. But without your inspiration/ideas, I probably would not create as often or if at all. I suffer from chronic pain and other health problems. I use art as a way to deal with my pain. It is a bright spot in dark days. So keep going as you are amazing!
Hi Vicky! I just love your creativity and videos…always so inspiring!!
My dependable single door fridge deserves all the praise for helping me throw a terrific party recently at home. Throughout the evening, it properly cooled and made all the party necessities accessible. I was able to neatly organise various food supplies thanks to the compartments’ ingenious design, which also made it simple to locate what I required while cooking and serving. This refrigerator allowed me to provide a flawless meal experience for my visitors. Anybody trying to up their house party game should definitely check it out, in my opinion!
