Hi! Today I share 5 techniques you can do with your dies. Just one die can create so many different looks all the way from clean and simple, to vintage and grungy or even happy colorful style! Hope this video will give you lots of ideas on how you can stretch your supplies and use them more.

I am using a new die from the latest “LOVE YOU TOO” collection by SimonSaysStamp and this is part of a blog hop as we celebrate the new release. Join the hop to see the products in action, to get inspired and to win prizes.

technique 1: look through window

For this technique you use the die to die cut the lovely design that can be used as a window. You can have that window at the front and look through the inside of the card, or use an inked backgroud, glitter cardstock, alcohol inked background… whatever works!

technique 2: multiple die cuts

Use another die to separate the design from the paper, so you can stick multiples on top of your card. Use a fancy cardstock and you have a special card in to time!

technique 3: dry brushing

Work with black paper and stick layers one on top of the other. Then do the “dry brushing” technique to bring everything to life. Check the video on how easy this technique is and on alternative mediums you can achieve the same look.

technique 4: make a stencil

Use your die to create a stencil, then it opens up a whole new world of techniques…. use your sprays, your inks, your pastes over it….

technique 4: shaker card

Dies create the perfect windows for shaker cards.
