Friday and time for another challenge at lily pad cards. What you have to do to participate is make a NEW card inspired by any card you saw on the blog during July and mention it in your post. Fun!
So when I saw this card by Nancy made for one of the lily pad challenges, I knew I had to make a scene at the sea!
and here is a closer look
I used this super cute stamp set by Penny Black:
and this cardstock as a card base from the Penny Black Mix and Match papers. Then on a white piece of cardstock I used my distress inks (faded jeans, scattered straw and tumbled glass) to create the background.
The little girl is half paper-pieced and half colored with copics. But don’t you love her hat?!
Now if you look too close that straw was cut … and I wanted to cut a strip of paper and add it there… but I forgot. LOL! I just saw that now that I am writing the instructions… but let’s pretend it’s there! If you have any questions about the making of this card please do ask at the comments. I love to read them and I always reply to them.
Make sure you visit Lily Pad Cards to join the fun and see what the rest of the Design Team has made!

Why this looks like you on vacation!! :)) LOVE her hat!
Super fun card, Vicky! Like Lin said that hat is adorable. Too bad, we didn’t get to meet at CHA. Like you say maybe we pass each other and didn’t even know it. Hopefully next time! 🙂
Wow! That girl is crazy beautiful! Paper piecing and copics looks amazing!
I LOVE this card, Vicky! The inked background is too fabulous for words and the paper-pieced/colored image is adorable. As always this card is full of Vicky-style charm!
That is really cute, love how you used the patterned paper, and the glossy accents.
