Today I am sharing a card I made for this month’s Sketch Challenge at LilyPad Cards.

Here is the sketch:

and this is my take on the challenge as a member of the Design Team

I never follow exactly the sketch on this kind of challenges but I keep the main idea. So instead of an oval in the center I used the scalloped rectangle die. And if you look at the sketch there are some circles on each side of the oval. Well this is for embellishments I would think… so instead I used the fairy’s wings on one side and a flower on the other side. And did you see the two top and bottom corners on the sketch? Well I just turned my paper.

Now if you are wondering how I made this card: I printed the Summer Fairy and colored the image with copics. Then I cut it out. I also made a second pair of wings on top of the original for more dimension. Notice also the stickles on the wings.

To make the scalloped background I used my nestabilities and then I stamped the image. A bit of masking helped me to keep those flowers white. The rest is pretty much straight forward.

Oh and did you notice she is wearing a pearl earring? Fun!
