Happy sunday everyone and thanks for visiting today!

Today I am sharing two cards in one video! I was inspired by this month’s sketch by Hero Arts and I wanted to share with you my ideas. This is the sketch I am working with:

So instead of the obvious (using paper strips or ribbon) I am making two cards thinking outside of the box. Hope you’ll get inspired and have fun!

CARD #1 – “Hello”

In this card I am using the kites instead of those strips in the sketch and the cloud on top to write the sentiment. Fun!

Everything was colored with distress inks and markers. The sentiment comes from an old but very much loved little stamp set by Hero Arts called “Love that”. Check out links to supplies below the video at the end of this post.

CARD #2 – “You are my happy”

On this second card I rotated the sketch upside down and I use the butterfly trails instead of the paper strips.

This card actually came together super fast. Here is a closer look:

Here is a photo of both the cards next to the sketch

You can enjoy the video here or at my YouTube channel in HD.

I had a couple more ideas thinking outside of the box but this would make my video 20 minutes long at least. If you liked this sketch-video combination let me know and maybe I can come up with another video 😉

Don’t forget to play along on my G I V E A WA Y here.

Enjoy the day!

  6. Love them both. But what I love most is your interpretation of the sketch. I tend to be very literal and need to be reminded to think outside the box. Thanks!

  7. Wow two great cards and your fantastic music.. How much happier can one get.

I love the playlike effect of what you’ve done. These two cards are free and whimsical I love cards like this but have a hard time doing them. I will watch a couple of more times and maybe it will pound into my bean. LOL
