This week I’ll be featuring a fun product that can alter any project, a card, a scrapbook layout, an invitation or a gift. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the wax sealing products by Manuscript and I love them! Well, we all love stamping so what’s stopping you from stamping on wax as well as paper?!

I’ll be having daily posts until Saturday sharing new projects.

Once you start making those seals you’ll want to embellish everything with them! Let me walk you through the process with photos and a how-to video!

This is the sealing wax gun. It works just like a regular hot glue gun.

And these are the wax sticks. They come in various colors and you just insert them in the gun and wait until they heat up.

You can use decorative coins to stamp on the wax. They are interchangeable, so you just put the one you like on the handle. Here are just a few of the designs available. Watch my video below on how easy and fun it is to use all those products.

Here is today’s card using my favorite Autumn blueprint collection by Tim Holtz combined with a seal. I think it adds so much to the distress look I was going for!

Here is a closer look to that leaf

and a closer look to the wax seal

  3. Oh Vicky, What a gorgeous card and I love the wax gun! I remember wax sticks when my daughter was a child – we sealed all our letters with it but I never thought of putting the wax seals on cards. Thank you for the videos – they are so helpful and informative and whenever I hear that tune start, I know I am in for a treat!

  4. Wow…very nice! Love the idea of using sealing wax….I used to do that on letters many, many years ago. I will have to check the gun out!

Love the whole design….will have to keep my eye out for that stamp set, too…way cool!

  5. I used to seal letters with a wax seal when I was young. However, they didn’t have the guns back then ~ the wax came in a candle of sorts, you lit the wick and let the wax drip on your envelope, and then you stamped into the wax drip. You’ve come a long way, baby!
This looks like a fun addition to stamping supplies! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Wow, I love the distressing on this card Vicki, amazing! I remember using wax seals on cards many years ago. I was inspired by your use of the wax so I went rummaging through my craft stuff and found some so I’m going to try using it in a project!
