Good morning crafters! I hope all my American friends enjoyed Thanksgiving and had fun with their loved ones! We do not celebrate thanksgiving in Greece BUT I have to say that I am so grateful for having so many sweet and talented blog friends! I am really thankful for all your comments and encouragement. You all ROCK!
On a side note, I get tons of questions about what I do with my cards, if I have an etsy shop, do I sell them or if I take orders. Just to let you all know that I do not sell my cards, this is my hobby and I love it. If I start selling them it will become a job and the fun will be lost. So I send/give my cards to friends, make sets of cards as gifts and also …I hoard some them (yep… I admit it… to decorate my studio).
Are your holiday cards ready to go?! I still need to make some more and it takes me a while because I never replicate a card. All the cards I send are one of a kind. Well…. I get bored doing the same one over and over again… and after all I want the recipient to know that she/he is special.
So, today I am sharing an easy and elegant Christmas card using an old but much loved stamp set by Hero Arts.
Here is a closer look to that tree…
You can enjoy the video here or at my YouTube channel.

NOTE: If you click on a product it will take you to an online shop, to check the price and more details. Notice the little gear on each icon?! If you click on that it will display more projects I did using that particular product that you can visit.
Fun card! I haven’t finished my Christmas card yet, so off I go!
Just gorgeous Vicky!!
What a cute card! Love, love, love it.
I do so look forward to your Sunday videos!!! Your attention to detail is wonderful and this is just another beautiful card!
Such a nice card-I always enjoy your videos. Good to know that this is your hobby and not your job. I feel the same-especially when I am tempted to buy some tool that is so expensive that it makes something “easy” but not a hand made project anymore. Thanks for your inspirations.
Hey Vicky, just wanted to let you know that I always enjoy your videos!! Thanks for inspiring me!!
A really pretty card. I liked the way you did the tree.
Totally love that card!
That X-mas tree is awesome! Love the 3D effect!
Gonna watch the video later…but I know I’m gonna love it and
learn something new.
TFS
Enjoy your Sunday!!

I love your blog, your videos and your creativity. I, too, make cards to give and not to sell. I do make a ton of Christmas cards (about 70) and usually make one or two different cards – this year it is four! You are absolutely right that as soon as you “have” to make cards for an order, it changes how you feel about it. I have spent tons of $$ on this hobby and it would be nice to make some money but it is my hobby and I love it as that! Thanks so much for all you share – it’s a pleasure to see an e-mail from you!
Wonderful! Love, love, love the way you did your tree! I will have to remember that! Very nice card and the recipient will be lucky indeed!
And thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, too! I only bought those Tim Holtz stamps because you had used them! ๐
SO beautiful, Vicky!!!! ๐ Man, you remind me SO much of me in the way of thinking when I’m creating. I think this is why I love you๏ปฟ and your creations SO much!!!! I agree, that technique for trees is so freakin’ awesome and super cool!!! I’ve seen it done many times, but have never actually tried it myself. Will be trying it out now since you make it look so much more attractive! (;
Thank you so much, I always look forward to your cards, and am never disappointed!
Vicky, that is the perfect Christmas card! Love the papers and design! Thanks for another fab video! ๐
That layered tree is perfect! Clever idea.
ok, haven’t gotten many of my Christmas cards ready yet. But now you’ve inspired me to get going on them! I love how you did this tree…I don’t *think* I’ve seen this before, so thanks for the “how to” aspect, especially with the fussy cutting. Lovely, lovely card….lucky is the person who receives your creation!
Beautiful card!!! By the way, the little gear icon next to the products is so helpful!
Vicky,
watching your videos really look like making cards is easy … until I try to do them myself. ๐
Thanks for sharing all your fabulous ideas with us. ๐
Hi Vicky,
thanks for this cute and lovely card. I am still behind in my Christmas cards, so you just gave me a new inspiration and idea. Loved the technique on the little tree.
Have a nice week and I see you Sunday.
Regards Gisa
This is such a cute Christmas card. I love the dimensional tree. You are so creative!
Thanks for sharng!

Loving this card, Vicky! I made a similar card recently with those papers but I love how you always add something special like the layered tree; it takes this fab design to a whole new level! I totally get the one-of-a-kind card thing, I can’t make 2 alike either and I hoard some of them too ๐ I always enjoy your card making videos, my friend; hope you have a lovely week.
Beautiful card! Taking the time to do the tree like that adds so much impact to the design! I do the same thing with my cards. If someone comes to my house who likes my cards (usually family) I hand them my box stuffed FULL of cards and tell them to make me more room! They love going through and picking out what their favorites.
I also don’t make the same Christmas card. Everyone gets a special card. I started before Halloween and they are all done!
Iยดm so impressed by what youยดre doing. I love the design of this card. I just started to create cards and do handicraft and little packagings. Therefore I love to follow your blog. Thank you very much!
What a fabulous card Vicky, so much enjoyed watching you cut out, I try to move the paper, but….guess I need to practice more..and I will..love the dimension on the tree…
Luv CHRISSYxx
Gorgeous card..great video too!
I have already made 66 Xmas cards…but if I like an idea ..I will make a few more with a different twist or paper..so I use the same idea on more cards.
I always make cards to send or give away as a gift….never sell them…but I do gave cards to Unicef so they could sell them and keep the money……..like you I prefer it to be a hobby..well a hobby that takes up so much time since I LOVE it…every free moment is spend on it.
PS..I hoard some of my cards too..they are in two Ikea boxes..I call them my inspiration boxes…so handy..my mother often has a look in it too.
Beautiful as ever. Love the new inlinkz feature. It’s especially fun with the stamps and papers.
Wonderful card. I love the demension on the tree. TFS!
This is so great, Vicky! I have this stamp and will have to try this technique soon since you make it look so easy! ๐ Thanks for the great tutorial!!!
Vicky
I love the effect of the tree. The way you made it puff out, gives it a feeling of being 3 D
love your cards and that fabulous music.
take cae
I love hearing that you don’t sell – people don’t get that. Also hard to believe that you don’t do duplicates. Wow! This is adorable. Love your great videos.
Very festive card , I like the dimension from the layered tree and your mix of patterned papers.
Love the way you did the tree. Love all your videos. I,too, craft for fun, not profit. Thank you so much for sharing.
