Hi everyone!

Welcome to the second stop of the Penny Black blog hop. Today we are featuring the new large-scale stamps and coordinating stencils, with many talented ladies and you can watch a how-to video in each stop of the hop. Isn’t this large-scale stamp set just gorgeous?! My layout is versatile and can perfectly match a birthday/anniversary/wedding/get well/thinking of you card … the list is endless really. All you do is change the sentiment and the color on the flowers to the favorite color of the recipient. Here is a closer look:

  8. Always admired the technique you use each time! Just curious, when to use distress and when to use copic markers? and why? =)

    1. Julia whenever you feel like it!! There are times I want to play with markers, others with my inks and some others I don’t feel like coloring and prefer paper piecing! Or I could use water-coloring, or just my pencils. Pick your favorite technique or just change them up so it isn’t boring, like I do!

  35. I love the dimension & attention to detail in this – those little gel pen white dots really add to the look & help transform the card into something special. Thank you too for showing the process of deciding that the yellow thread wasn’t right & then showing the difference with the thinner white thread. The use of the stencil for the leaves & flowers colouring is a super idea.

  68. I’m not a huge fan (like you are) of paper piecing, but this style of card is totally what I love to do. I enjoy going the extra mile for the people I send cards to. The only time I mass produce cards is for Christmas (and even then I go a little overboard). Thanks Vicky!
