I wanted to make a layout on my art journal about the new year but I just couldn’t find the time.
So the last couple of days I decided that I just had to go on with it! So here is is!
The idea was to have tiny little pockets to add wishes and motivational words for the new year. I can also write my resolutions at the back of those inserts.
I just love the outcome and it turned out better than what I had in my mind. I also love the yellow, gold, dark red color combo.
I have used lots of my favorite techniques such as stenciling, stamping, paper piecing and distressing.
On this layout I have tried my new DecoArt media collection and I have used their fluid acrylics. You will see how awesome these paints are in the video. Super easy to apply and blend, and since they are not heavy body paint they work great for art journaling.

Hi Vicky
Thank you for sharing your creative talent. You have inspired me with your 2014 journal page to alter a cheap 2015 calendar.
I finished the January page yesterday and have now completed February and March which came from other inspiration.
I admire your talent and best of all you present the videos so well, clear and not too wordy. I love your accent and that you do not over talk like many do.
The “if you can dream it” page is my next project for April.
Hope you continue to inspire us all.
Celeste
