Friday already and it’s time for my last project for the weekly event featuring Penny Black.
Today I am using an adorable stamp set which although it is from a previous release it is so adorable!

The stamp is called “April” and since I just can’t wait for spring to finally show up and April is just around the corner… well it was calling my name!

The design is so simple, but with a lovely little girl like her you don’t really need to so a lot. I used my distress markers to color her with a watercolor technique. I just love the outcome and her shiny yellow boots! Couldn’t stay away from wink of stella … can you blame me?! LOL!

  1. What a sweet image to use for Spring. I just ordered it and can hardly wait to get it in the mail. I hope I can do it justice, though I doubt it. As usual your creation gave me a big smile and made my day. Please continue doing these images, I always enjoy your blog.

  2. It is so enjoyable to watch your videos–this image is so innocent, and you make it so beautiful.

  3. Vicky what a sweet card, you make this look so easy, I have never tried water coloring but I’m sure mine would not come out anywhere near as pretty as yours.

  4. Hi Vivky. You have managed what you set out to do. We now feel that spring is here and it will not be to long before summer is here as well. Lovely cards, so cute. Thank you
    Love Sonja

  5. I always look forward to your videos. This is a darling card. Love how you brought this little girl to life. Thank you for sharing..

  6. I enjoyed watching you watercolour! You’ve inspired me – I haven’t watercoloured in a while and I’m going to get out my Tombow markers – thank you! Great showcase for Penny Black this week!

  7. Your stamping is so fabulous… this card. Put a smile on my face, and I, too, hope it brings spring weather our way!!! Adorable stamp, and I must get those word dies!

  8. What a beautiful card. Your color/painting techniques are amazing. Thank you for taking the time to create the video. I have tried using distress markers, but had not thought to do the painting as you have. I will be giving that a try soon.

  9. This girl stamp is so cute! Vicky, I really like your water coloring technique. This card would put a smile on the recipient.

  10. Hi there. Hoping to see a journal page. The cards cost me money. I love the journal pages because they use existing supplies and I can see cards in the making.

  11. Hi Vicky! I LOVE your coloring techniques. I’ve been working with my distress markers and inks. It’s a long process, but I’m not giving up! What color marker did you use for April’s skin? I looked and couldn’t find where you listed it. Can you email it to me? Thanks in advance!
