Do you ever combine supplies from different card kits? Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using bits and pieces from the March and the April card kit by SimonSaysStamp. A lot of times the supplies that come in those boxes stay together and I rarely think to mix them up… not sure why…

But the 3×4 black and yellow booklet that came in the March kit is a perfect match for the April card kit.

Card 1

In this card I mainly use the papers from the booklet layered one on top of the other and I used different supplies to embellish it. The gold star brads came from the April card kit. And here is a closer look to those gold shoe laces!

Card 2

For my second card I created a shaker card. This card is so much fun and it was super easy to create. The gold foil on the background papers and the golden bow really bring everything together.

And here is a closer look

  1. Hi Vicky, OMG your two card turned out so Gorgeous, Fabulous and Fun!! I so enjoyed watching you create them. OMG you came up with so many awesome , clever and creative ideas for both….I truly was awestruck watching what you did. Super fun video and how cool that you showed how both kits worked together. Thanks Vicky for what you do and how you do it you always make my day!! YOU so ROCK!!

  2. You are so clever to combine the two card kits. I love both these cards and the gold treads add so much to them. Great design and great job!! TFS

  3. I see the word “awesome” used a lot in posted comments. I couldn’t agree more! Love what you do, Vicky! I always look forward to your posts. And may I wish you a belated Happy Easter!

  4. Two beautiful cards, Vicky! My favorite is the second one – the shaker card – it just makes me smile! However, I do love both of them! As always, your work is wonderful and thanks for sharing!

  5. These are SO creative, Vicky! Now I need to go see if I have any of the journal cards left from my March kit, I used up almost every bit of that one. Thanks for the inspiration to combine kits!

  6. Wow! I just adore your cards, Vicky. I love the inspiration – you’ve given me some great ideas to use up the contents of these two kits. Your videos are always terrific.

  7. So adorable! Love your fine details to the boots and how you made the mirror into a shaker card! Wish I had an ounce of your imagination! Thanks for sharing!!

  8. Both of the cards turned out so cute, I can’t pick a favorite! I always get inspired when I watch one of your videos..TFS…xx

  9. I love both cards. But I really love Ginger. He is so cute. I’d want to play with him all day long. And I bet he is willing to play too. What a cutie.

  10. Loved both cards and I so giggled about your cat and the lollipop. My cat’s favorite thing is to steal the lollipops from my card kits… she comes running when I get a new box and now seems to know there will a new toy for her inside!

  11. Both adorable! I think I like the mirror one the best though- with all the talk about giving girls the confidence to love the way they look however they look and most of all to love themselves…that card would be a wonderfully fun way to send that positive message!

  12. Adding a small detail, like the gold floss on the shoes, makes such a big difference. I love the way you turned the mirror into a shaker card. I know a little girl that this will be her next birthday card. Thanks for the inspiration.
