Are you ready for a fun video hop?
The new summer card kit by Create A Smile is here and we are having a fun video hop with amazing projects to inspire you!
Here is what I made using the patterned papers from the kit and the adorable die!
Here is a closer look so you can see all the dimensionΒ in the palm tree
That die is great because it comes in two parts and you can really use the top part to make a flower instead of the palm tree leaves!

Such a cute kit. I love how you layered the palm tree on your card.
Very cute card. Great tips, thanks for another wonderful video.
What a wonderful design! I love how much dimension and life you were able to give to the palm tree! It looks amazing! And I also like how you cut out the word to use on the front! Very nice!
Love the dimension!
Amazing color and layers!
Love all the dimension! π
Not only a great video, but also a great card. I really like the dimension you gave the tree.
Oh wow!!! Your card is absolutely stunning! Great video!
Fun card–I look forward to your videos.
This is adorable Vicky. I love tags and this one is sweet. A great idea on popping up the layers of the trunk of the tree.
I loved your card and I loved this kit is so happy, specially the double sided papers, amazing.
Great dimension on this using all those pieces! I love the look of a tag on a card but have never done it! Love those clear droplets in the middle of the tree and the word die cut as a sentiment.
I really love how you popped the leaves of the palm tree as well as the trunk of the tree. Fantastic card. Very clever to use a word from the patterned paper as your sentiment. I love how I learn so many new ideas and tricks when I watch these blog hops. Great job. Thanks for sharing π
This is an awesome dimensional card. The whirl pool effect too cool.
Thanks to all the designers for a great video blog hop!!!
I learned a little something from each one listed below:
1. Christine- Washi tape guideline for pop up card… Heat gun to remove washi tape. The vellum tip to mute the background. I’m going to make that pop up card!
2. Amy- Leaving the die cut in the paper to water color. Use a transparency to hold alpha stickers for easy placement. AWESOME!
3. Marika- when coloring in add “dots” to give Rhino some texture. Adhesive before die cutting. And hiding the trunk by “double” die cutting it with palm die. She also used the transparency trick for her alpha stickers.
4. Laura – press n seal!!! Cool! She does the alphas with a ruler!
5. Francine- like the 2nd gen stamping to lighten the color.
6. Kelly- Misti tip for avoiding multi level stamping look.
7. Birka- I was very inspired by her popup card. First time I ever saw that in the making.
8. Vicky- dimensional tricks for the palm tree.
9. Justine- I totally liked the patterned paper strips idea!!!!
My favorite piece in the kit is the palm tree die (of course). Oh how I want one!!!!
Thanks for the opportunity to win a kit.
This was a fun and inspiring hop!

Love this card, Vicky! You are remarkable. ???
I’m not sure if you’re aware, but Faber Castell is looking for mixed media designers. I’ve seen you use their Pitt markers, and I love your art journals, so I thought I’d pass the info along. ^__^
