Today I am back with an art journal layout! I know you have been asking for a new layout for a long time. So here we go!
I had this idea of turning some paint tubes into butterflies and I am so happy with how this turned out!
I worked on my moleskine sketchbook and I used a ton on my favorite mixed media techniques! I combined acrylics with chalk paints, stencils and stamps, I did some paper piecing and I added splashed and even fabric!
Here are some more close- up photos so you can see all the details and the texture!

How do you find the time? Your Art Journal pages are so inspiring. Many questions…do you pre-plan your pages or just “go with it?” Thank you for sharing!
WOW, your work never ceases to amaze me! Simply spectacular! I loved how you used those letters around the circle. I would not have though to use mine to do that!
Great art journal page! Love it! Those butterflies are fabulous.
Every time I watch you create I learn something new. I love that you cut that big background stamp to a small size. I have several of these big stamps that I hardly ever use. What a great idea to stretch the use of the stamps! T hank you so much!
Always so excited when it’s Vicky Art Journal Day! 🙂 You never disappoint – love, love, love to watch your work and your creativity! Thanks for sharing! Good to have you back! 🙂
Always amazed at how the white highlight lines make the butterflies look glossy. Thank you for sharing, Vicky. I really look forward to your videos.
Lovely. It gives me inspiration for some small art cards i have been wanting to make my hair stylist. Is tjere anyway possible that you would send me a piece of cardstock stamped with a couple of those butterflies and paint tubes ? I was thinking i could mask the paint lable and sketch in hair color lables ! And her logo is Tawnas Aura. And she is going through big changes with her hair studio so this just seemed so perfect !!!
I love your beautiful work and your voice ? i look forward to your reply.
Angela.
Totally awesome, Vicky, as always! Love how you used the rub on stars, splitting them up to accent the page. And love those Paper Artsy Stamps so much! Such wonderful inspiration again today—thank you!
Beautiful! Stunningly beautiful, Vicky! Woah!
I love how you built up the background and used all the different stamps. The finished page is wonderful!

I am so inspired (AND excited!) Vicky to FINALLY start my art journal. One year ago, I didn’t even think I would ever WANT to try this but after watching your art journal videos this past year I actually can’t wait. So I think today is the day! 2017 is going mark the beginning of my journey in art journalling. Wish me luck!
Your creativity is amazing. Every piece is fresh and lovely. Thanks so much for sharing..
Thank you for sharing this gorgeous page. When you do it it always seems so simple when in fact it isn’t. But you just know exactly which element has to be placed in which position so that the result is stunning. I am learning so much from you, beautiful work!
You amazed me every time. Beautiful work! Greetings from Croatia!
Wow, a fabulous and inspiring page. Thank you for sharing. Creative Blessings, Tracy x
Love this page. You are so creative. There was a stamp you said that had and cut it into a smaller piece that looks like canvas. Is it available somewhere, who’s product?
