sizzix unicorn card

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a fabulous unicorn birthday card for you! This is going to put a smile on the face of all those little ones who love unicorns for sure!

For my card I used the Sizzix Bigz Die – Unicorn ( CST ).

I cut out the unicorn from glitter cardstock and also did some paper piecing for different parts such as the horn, the tail and mane as well as the hoofs.

For the background I applied a couple of distress oxide ink colors and also did some water splashes. To finish it off I gave my unicorn an eye. This card is a birthday card for my sweet goddaughter who is turning 5 next month. So the number on the unicorn really gives that personalized touch and it from the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set – Dainty Birthday Numbers ( CST ).

There is a lovely message on the inside of the card too using the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set – Sentiments ( CST ). But you have to watch the video for that 🙂

  1. This is so cute Vicky, your goddaughter shall love it. I hope she has a wonderful birthday. Thanks for the beautiful card and video and have a nice weekend.

  2. This is just adorable and I love the clever way you used pastel rainbow striped paper for the tail and mane!

  3. One really really cute card! The paper you used for the tail and mane really help to make the card look so festive. And those pink hoofs (yes, you got it right!)!!!! Such a beautiful and fun card for a five year old little girl. Thanks for the reminder to add paper piecing to the list of techniques in card making. Love the look! Oh, and thank you for reminding me that many materials other than paper can be used with those thick dies. I was working with one today and forgot that I could have used material to cut out the die! Thank you, Vicky.
