Hi! Today I am back with a Halloween art journal project. I used my distress oxide inks for the background and cut outs for my focal points. You can watch the video tutorial for the step by step process! I get so many requests for Halloween art journal projects so here we go! And I am working on one more… so stay tuned this week!

I worked on my custom made 6×6 disc bound journal. The paper I used for this journal is Distress Mixed Media Heavystock ( SBC | SSS ). I just cut it in size and punch the wholes for my disc bound system.
For my background I used my distress oxide inks. I am so happy with the outcome, such an amazing color combo. I combined old colors and a couple of new ink pads from the latest release, the Chipped Sapphire( SBC | SSS | JGG ) and the Shabby Shutters( SBC | SSS | JGG ). Finally I white embossed the web using the SSS Rubber Stamp SPIDER WEB ( SSS ).
The witches are from the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls – Ancestors ( SBC | SSS | JGG ). Love these witches!!! And in the package they come in many different sizes so depending on the project you can choose the best for you.
Also lately I love to add design tape and chip quotes on my projects. I used the Quote Chips – Halloween( SBC | SSS | JGG ) and the Design Tape – Halloween( SBC | SSS | JGG ).

Ooh this is awesome! Love that background!
Great project design and video (love the music at the end)
Great spooky page! OOOH! Happy Halloween!
This was great fun! Loved watching you create this page. thank you! And, Happy Halloween!
Great page Vicky, I love the new colours Distress Oxide. Although I find it not so easy to use the Oxides but I think that it is a matter of getting used to it, I just have to use them more.
Thank you for this Halloween page.
NOTE: I asked you in the comment of the Fall theed Art Journal if I could use Micro Glaze instead of Multi Medium. You said that it could but never tried to go over it with Distress Markers or the Crayons and that I have to try that out and let you know.
Well I have tried it and it works. I could put the Markers and Crayons over it and smear them just like you did on the pumpkins over the Multi Medium and it dries so that I couldn’t rub it of.
Love this layout and I particularly love the background! Thank you Vicky!
I really love these Halloween layouts!!!
