Hi! Today I am sharing Christmas cards using stencils. I will be using the 4 new stencils by Darkroom Door and I will make 2 cards in a vintage style with traditional Christmas colors and 2 in a clean and simple style. All cards are not difficult to recreate and some are perfect for mass producing!

close-up photos
the “reindeer stencil” card
For this card I used the REINDEER Stencil ( SSS | DRK ) and applied Glacier Paste in Quicksilver color ( SBC | SSS ) over it. A design that is really easy to mass produce and if you like you can add some sparkle like I did on the reindeer’s antlers. Or you can give him a red nose and turn him into Rudolf!
A card in a non-traditional color combo of silver and light pink, that adds elegance in your design and keeps the card looking fresh and modern. The shine is really pretty in real life but so hard to catch on photos.
the “tree stencil” card
Here is a traditional card in a vintage style. For this card I used the CHRISTMAS TREE Stencil ( SSS | DRK ) and my distress oxide inks.
I always like to add some sparkle on my traditional colored Christmas cards, so I used these gold confetti as ornaments on my tree. You can do that with gems, sequins or even gold nuvo drops.
the “bauble stencil” card
Here is a lovely card with ornaments using the BAUBLE SET Stencil ( SSS | DRK ). For this card again I used reds and greens and the bows were made using the new iZink Diamond 24 Carats Glitter Paint in Light Gold ( JGG ). The shine is amazing and it’s the perfect vintage gold glitter paste !
For this cards I combined stencling and marking and you can see the fun techniques in the step by step video above.
the “star stencil” card
And finally here is another non tradition card, this time for the new year. All I did was to spray with Altenew PURE WHITE Ink Spray ( SSS ) over the STAR SET stencil ( DRK ). I embossed my sentiment and added a few jewels for sparkle.

You make the prettiest cards out of the simplest supplies.
Vicki, it is always so enjoyable to watch you create and yes, you do inspire me to go and have some fun in the craft room. I always learn something from you. Your ornament card is fabulous
Vicky – thanks for showing us how easy it is to make beautiful Christmas cards. Stencils are so versatile for sure. Love watching your videos. Ornament card is my favourite.
Hi Vicky – you make sticking jewels look so easy – where can the wax pencil be purchased?
I have tried other items for attaching jewels but none seem to work. Thanks so much.
Love them all. Can’t pick a favorite. Darkroom Door has the most wonderful designs. And you showcased them so well. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome creations, thanks for the video, I always enjoy seeing your process!
I really like Dark Room Door and appreciate your use of their products here. I’ve got my eyes on the tree and ornament stencils — have some ideas to try using the mask and my gel plate!! The cards you made are really great and I would find it impossible to pick a favorite. I really like how you used “non-traditional” colors. When making Christmas cards this year, I decided to get out of the box and use some non-traditional colors. I really like the look and feel. AND, having said that, I also still really appreciate the traditional colors. I really like the color pink and think pairing it will silver makes for a classy and peaceful look. And the star card with all the white!!!! GREAT idea! Thank you so much for the video, Vicky! Happy Fall!
I need to remember to use stencils more often. They’re all wonderful but the ornaments card is fabulous!
Fantastic cards. Thank you for the great tips.
Beautiful cards, Vicky. Love the simple yet beautiful results. Thank you for your inspiration!
Thank you for your post! I found you through Craftsy, now Bluprint, and absolutely adore your art journaling class there. I just found your blog and am so excited to be able to follow your art journey. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your techniques and ideas. Cheers!
Beautiful cards!
hugs
Gorgeous cards Vicky. Very clever stencils. I love how you have made the card with the tree, that’s my favorite!
Thank you so much for showing and have a great Sunday.
