Hi! Here is the second page I made while playing with the new gloss sprays by Dina Wakley. If you haven’t seen the other one check it out HERE. The tags I made while testing out the sprays where so pretty that I just had to use them in a page somehow. And since the colors where so striking I thought they would really stand out against a denim page. So here is my first art journal on a denim page! Love it!

Here are some close up photos where you can see the details of my page better. I am working on the new Dina Wakley Media Journal – Blue Edition( SBC | SSS | JGG ).
On the denim page all I did was to add some white gesso through a stencil so that it didn’t look completely plain.
To add texture on my page I did some sewing and even threaded some twine on the tags.
I added visual texture on my tags with stamping and actual texture with modelling paste… lots of different details for the eye to look at!

WOW! Love what you did with this page. I like the combination of fabric with the twine on the tags and the sewing! What a great idea. Thank you for the video and TWO! art journal pages in 2 days!!! What an extra special treat!!! (Saw you make a surprise appearance in a video that Karen did at Creativation while she was at the shrink plastic booth! It’s posted on the Joggles blog!!) I can’t stop thinking about how you used the sprays and that any die cut would work as a mask or making another element (as you did with the wood cut out). I’ve been creatively dried up after the holidays but it seems creative energy is coming back! Yay!!! Thank you, Vicky
Another creative page – thanks for sharing.
I was looking forward to your posting today after watching your video from yesterday.
Love the bright colours.
Love this one! But, I love all that you do. But the denim is a great background. You are amazing.
Denim is a GREAT background, I love the bright tags on this background! I can’t throw any thing away, so I have quite a few denim jean legs that were cut off of new jeans to make my husband denim shorts. I think I will stitch them together for a totally denim journal!
Another gorgeous page, I love the fabric on this one and all the things you did because it was fabric. I enjoyed both videos so much, alwasy love to see you making art.
Thank you so much for sharing and have a great weekend.
Excellent tutorial! Love this page…great texture. I like how you added just enough stitches to add to the fabric page!
Really fabulous showing of these fun new products! Thanks for your inspiring creative AJ pages!
