The 5 Cards
All the cards in this set were inked using Distress Oxide inks on dark navy cardstock backgrounds to really make the vibrant colors pop. Here is a closer look at the 5 designs:
Card 1: The Stacked Whimsical Village
For the first card, I stacked multiple houses on top of each other to create a tall, bustling village scene. I finished the night sky with gold ink splatters and added the glowing moon from the Village Companions die set.
Card 2: Whimsical Houses & Oversized Blooms
Combining the houses with the Whimsical Blooms die set creates a playful miniature world. Here, three colorful houses sit in front of oversized funky flowers and leaves, completed with the die-cut fence and a stamped sentiment.
Card 3: A Cozy Home with Blooms & Kitty
In this design, a single house takes center stage surrounded by colorful layered flowers. I also introduced the sweet little cat from the Village Companions set sitting beside the garden fence.
Card 4: Sunny Village Scene with Pup
For a playful daytime scene, I added a curved green hill, the little companion dog, fluffy clouds, and the smiling sun from the companion set. Even on a dark background, the bright ink blending brings this cheery little world to life!
Card 5: Whimsical Blooms Bouquet on Embossed Background
You can also let the flowers shine completely on their own! For the final card, I created a full bouquet using various mix-and-match blooms and placed them over a textured panel made with the collection’s 3D Embossing Folder.
