I created 3 backgrounds using the ink blending. I am sharing 3 fall color combos using the new “crackling campfire” ink.

Happy fall card

For this one the color combo is

  • wild honey
  • crackling campfire
  • ground espresso

Then I used the foil plates from the kit to create the lovely leaf border and add the sentiment.

pumpkins card

The color combination for this one is

  • fossilized amber
  • crackling campfire
  • fired brick

I created a border on each side using the leaf hot foil plate. Then I foiled a sentiment and added a few pumpkins!

Since I had lots of orange on the background I decided to have white pumkins insread of orange, I think they look better and pop even more.

For the foiling on this card I used the copper foil roll.

hello October card

How stunning is this background?! Here is the color combo for this one:

  • crackling campfire
  • forest moss
  • rusty hinge

I foiled the border and used my scissors to fuzzy cut leaves. This way you can use them in a completly different way by popping them on the card.

  1. I didn’t think you could change my mind that the first blended background was my favorite, but as soon as I saw what you were doing on the 3rd one I have to admit I changed my mind. I would NEVER have thought to add Forest Moss together with a red/orange and Rusty Hinge!!! It … is … gorgeous!!! Beautiful blends and I appreciate the reminder to get those inks out and get blending!! I love fall colors and now is the time to get them out, play and enjoy!! Thanks, Vicky. Have a great day!

  2. Those are so beautiful! I haven’t taken the plunge to get the hot foil system, but I’m getting so close. Thanks for sharing your creativity!

  3. Your blended backgrounds are just beautiful. Love watching your videos and how you bring everything together for lovely cards. Thanks so much for sharing.

  4. It’s impossible to choose a favorite! All three of your cards are so beautiful. Your blending skills is off the charts. I have the Glimmer Hot Foil system but I don’t use it that much. You make it look so easy. I will have to get it out and give it another go. Thanks for sharing!!

  5. I adore this video. I never cared for Oxides until this video! I love all three but the last one is my favorite! I can’t wait to stock up on Oxides very soon. I have a question. When you splattered water on the card using campfire/rusty hinge/forest moss you went back at the end with a dark splatter. I did not find it in the supply list. What was the product you used? Thank you for your wonderful videos!
