Can you believe it’s just 8 weeks till Christmas?! So let’s have a countdown through art journaling!!!
I am starting a brand new series on my YouTube channel, where I will be sharing a new art journal every Thuesday… until Christmas. That’s 8 Christmas themed layouts! I will play with different mixed media techniques, showcase new products and use old ones from my stash too.

Here are some close-up photos on today’s layout. Scroll all the way down for the list of supplies used.
The mistletoes are die cuts using the new “festive stems” die, designed by Tim Holtz.
I worked on my “blue edition” journal. The size was perfect for the die cut stems.
I created a border using scraps from an older Christmas paper pad I had for years.
To add some texture I used burlap, ribbon and a metal token
I also did some stencling with an older stencil and embossing paste. Love how that worked on burlap!

LOVE the new series – Tuesdays will be super exciting for the next few weeks. Love it!!!
Love the patchwork and burlap look!
Vicky I love this new series of art journal pages. I love watching you create these pages and these christmas ones are so beautiful. This would certainly make a pretty christmas card. I make all my own cards plus christmas cards for seniors. May have to copy this one. Looking forward to your weekly postings.
Take care
I am so looking forward to this series. I love ALL of your creations, but I am very interested in your art journal pages. Art journaling is relatively new to me, maybe just a year or so, and I really appreciate fresh ideas from others. I enjoy your style and the ways you put things together. This page is lovely. I shall be looking for the next video in the series with great anticipation.
Vicky, I love that you are doing a Christmas journal series! I’ve always enjoyed your journaling tutorials and now there’ll be one every week to enjoy!
Love the pointsettia folder, will need to try that out. Beautiful and simple designs.
Love the ideas you share with us, giving options to use what we have.
Always love your art journal pages! Looking forward to the rest of this series.
I’ve fallen behind in watching craft videos … so much going on here in my life as well as in the U.S. Absolutely love this journal page — especially the background idea as well as the use of burlap. What a great idea to use texture paste on top. I agree burlap is a great texture, but I’ve only used it once. Felt a bit intimidated by it and didn’t know quite what to do with it. Appreciate the idea. Just fabulous. I really love the look. As for your idea to do a series of Christmas themed art journals, I’m most definitely on board!!! As others have said, I can’t wait to see what you will do!! Might you do a canvas???!!! Love those too. So sorry to hear things are getting bad in Greece again and that you’re in lock down all over again. Here in Arizona things are getting bad again too. Yes, let’s hope and pray 2021 is a MUCH better year all over the world. It can’t get worse … can it? It’s looking like things might get better all around here in the U.S. Fingers crossed. Thank you so much for this great video which is, once again, packed with ideas. Once things calm down a bit and I’m back to crafting, there are some things you’ve demonstrated that I would like to try. Thank you very much, Vicky. And I pray things get better for you all in Greece.
Hi Vicki, I love watching your videos, I have learn’t so much and have developed my creativity with my journal pages from watching your tutorials over the last couple of years. The 2 Christmas pages and the products you’ve used are absolutely fabulous. I’ve jibbed at purchasing the Dina Wakley journal you have used, after watching your videos today I want one. Thank you for the inspiration and new ideas.
Stay safe in Greece. I’m in Queensland, Australia. Where I live we haven’t experienced any issues with the pandemic, hope things return to normal for you soon.
