It’s Mixed Media Tuesday and today I am back with a flower page for my alphabet art journal! I have been working on this 6×6 disc bound journal for a long time and haven’t been able to make a flower page for all the letters yet… hope this year I will finally finish it!

  1. I think this year Tuesdays are going to be my favorite day of the week!!!!! Your background is so cheery and happy. Orange and yellow make such a great combination (one I don’t think to use) … and I love how the Rusty Hinge added so much to that corner! Great contrast to the green stems and beautiful white flowers. Thank you for taking requests on products to use. Right now I’m waiting to see what you do with moulds once the products your ordered arrive!! I find the moulds fun to work with, but have mixed feelings about using clay with them — and there could be a technique I’m not aware of that would give better finished results. It’s a new to me medium. Thank you, as always, for the great video, Vicky. The next time you post a mixed media video I will be watching it from a new home. Already looking forward to unpacking craft supplies and getting back to creating!!

  2. Love that background! It really makes your snowdrop flowers “pop”. The texture and partial stamping adds so much interest. I am going to try to remember this on my next project so it does not look so flat. Color choice is so important….looks like I will have to invest in more than just black, white and blue!
I really enjoy this flower series— I can’t wait for the next one!

  3. Love the flower series. Snowdrops are the first bulb to bloom here and always gives me sweet memories of my mother-in-law. I know I’m late to the game, but realize I have tons of flower die cuts and am committed to making an art book also using them.

  4. Just beautiful as always Vicky!
Tuesday is my favorite day of the week, I get to skype with my parents in Belgium since I live in Colorado, and then watch your videos!
You give me always great ideas, thank you for sharing your talent with all of us!

  5. Vicky another stunning page. I just love the colours you chose to use for the background with these flowers.
Watching your videos makes me think I need to start using all the items I have stored in my craft room drawers. lol
I always look forward to seeing what you create and once I see you have popped into my inbox I just have to open your posting up right away.
    Thanks for sharing your creation.

  6. I could never offer you any suggestions for your flower art journal because no matter what flower you choose to do, it’s always beautiful! I really love watching you work; it’s very inspiring!

  7. This is such a beautiful journal. I noticed that you are missing “E.” Try “euphorbia.” It’s a great flowering plant with very delicate white flowers. Maybe other colors are possible but I always get white ones every May or so. They look like little white fireworks all around other plants in the hanging basket. Very pretty and heat tolerant. But I just realized there is surely no stamp/die set featuring euphorbia. Darn.

Wow, your English is unreal! Nozzle!?! I’ve studied French and Spanish for years and have no idea how to say “nozzle” in either. Sheesh, you’re amazing, Vicky. Thanks for the tutorial using the Snowdrops. Your Snowdrop page is GORGEOUS!! I have this die. The day I saw Jessica Frost-Ballas use it, I ordered it. Your use of it is excellent as well.

  8. This page is so vibrant and wonderfully done. I appreciate EVERY video that you do, but my favorite ones are the art journaling. Please continue with art journaling because I love to see how you do each step and I appreciate it when you mention alternate ways to do things with other products. I am a 73 year young woman with a limited budget so I cannot always get what I want to get, but I do have some supplies that can be used in place of what you use. Another great video and project!

  9. Really beautiful page. Love the snowdrops and the background is so full of interest and texture. Thank you for another fabulous video❤️

  10. Awesome page Vicky, I was already wondering when you would go on with your flower journal.
I love that you have planned the tuesday als Art Journal/Mixed Media day.
Thank you so much for sharing your great inspiration, stay safe and have a wonderful day.

Question: I see that you make punch your holes before you start your project, can you say me why you do it before and not after you finished the page?

  11. Hello. those snow drop flowers you used are just beautiful. I can hardly wait to get that kit. Great job on the alphabet journal. I love flowers and this will be a great addition to my collection.
