Hi! Today I am playing with the new Kitsch Flamingo color and I combine it with products that I already have in my stash. Just to check out lots of color combos and how it looks with inks and sprays in the same line. And as I was planning to make these test I though it would be fun to turn them into a mini art journal, complete with stenciling techniques, stamping, splatters and bind them with an elastic. I did my experiments and at the end of the day I have a journal full of pages ready to go! All I have to do is stick a focal point and a quote!

  1. Vicky, I love your technique Tuesday and any thing you show. Your pages were clever
and can’t wait to see what you do with them.

  2. Great technique video. I’m not sure about the Flamingo color, but I do love my Distress inks (original and oxide). The best tip I took from this video (as you were flipping through the assembled journal) bis that having one color consistent throughout makes it easier to arrange the pages.

  3. I always look forward to see your videos, never boring to me so don’t worry about that.
I think I will be playing today with backgrounds, I recycle elastic too haha but I keep it from when I buy shoes or slippers when they are paired together.
Thanks Vivky can’t wait to see how you finish those pages.

  4. These pages are gorgeous by themselves. But I can’t wait to see how you decorate them. I love to watch you create. As I’ve said before, I could watch you all day! Thanks for being so willing to share your many creative talents. You have the best tutorials out there.

  5. Stunning backgrounds Vicky. I love to see all the combination you made with Kitch Flamingo.
I’m still waiting for my ink, the webshop where I always order has a deleay from the wholesaler.
I hope that it will come soon, love what I already saw with this awesome colour.
Thank you so much for the awesome video, stay safe and have a wonderful day..

  6. Hi Vicky
Just loved your mixed media video today. Very inspirational, loved how you just so enjoyed mixing color sprays, with such beautiful results. Definitely you do not have to over think anything. The need for perfection is not at all important! The process is all the fun…..! Loved it !!

  7. The more videos the better. All your backgrounds were so pretty and each one different. I’m definitely going to play with my oxides and hopefully create some pretty backgrounds too. Thank you!

  8. Yes I would like to see more videos and I would like to see your finish the pages. Thank you. Love all your videos.

  9. I too love all your videos and this one is making me itch to get to my craft area to do something very similar! Thanks!

  10. I really like the pink and vintage photo together as well as the blues (especially love the chipped sapphire and pink) and pink together. The more I see you use the pink, the more I’m seeing that it might be a good color to add to my collection after all. Thank you for doing another video that focuses on backgrounds. I can’t see enough of them and hope one day to be more at ease creating them. When I get my gel press out and play, it seems to free me up to just create. Working to get my craft supplies unpacked and organized so I can get back to crafting. I’d like to try using the distress inks on the gel plate and see what happens!! Look forward to seeing what you do with these pages. Thank you, Vicky! And “hi” to Ginger!!

  11. Love your videos. I have been following you for 6-7 years and have watched almost all of your videos. I have learned so much from you. I always pick up something new. I love your style. You keep me inspired in so many ways. Thank you for being YOU.

  12. Really liked background video but curious if you ever finished it. Looked thru your blog but didn’t find anything. I love all your work from cards to mixed media journals. Got your bird houses and they are so clever.
I’ve watched a couple of other peoples postings but always come back to you.
Thanks for the inspiration to create.
