Hi! It’s mixed media Tuesday and time for another project! Today I am sharing a double page layout on my art journal. I wanted to create something for spring as the days are getting bigger and warmer and it was the perfect opportunity to use the magnify it – Stamp Set( SSS | CRF ), designed by Bipasha for AALL & Create.
That magnifying glass is such an amazing focal point and it would work great on a canvas too, as it’s size is nice and big!

Beautiful page. On your suggestion, I ordered two of the Tri-blend markers: a dk orange you used for pumpkins in the Fall and a dk purple set. Will try them out. I have quite a few Spectrum Noir markers, which have worked well for several years.

Thank you for doing a 2 page layout, Vicky! Another way to use my gel plate that I keep forgetting!! Thanks for the reminder! I was playing recently with the transfer sheets from Dress My Craft and worked on a diagonal line, which was different for me. I didn’t know where that idea came from, but it looked pleasing to the eye (as you might say), so maybe the idea came from you in another video and stuck in the back of my mind somewhere!!?!!!?? This is a beautiful page and I love the colors you chose. Also on the project I was working on something isn’t quite right and now I know what it is!!! I used a light color ink on some work stamping on the background and it’s too light. If you look really closely you can kind of make out that something is there but it’s really rather lost. Thank you for helping me understand what’s off and how to fix it! I really appreciate (very much) how you explain your process. It helps me learn. With all I’ve learned from you I seem these days to be wanting to do more mixed media projects and less card making (although I still enjoy that too). Thanks again for the video! As always, much appreciated.

It just so happens that a few weeks ago I walked past a stamp set that my daughter had placed on her desk and that included a fairly large butterfly. I thought that will be cool to use with a magnifying glass in my art journal!
I love how you always combine everything you put on to the page and that you tell why you do it.
