It’s mixed media Tuesday and welcome back to another fun project! I created a themed 6×6 art journal today and I plan to have all the pages feature fruits and veggies. It’s a great project to create on a canvas or board instead if you want to decorate your house… they would be lovely in the kitchen!
For all the focal points that I share today and the ones that I plan to make in the future to complete my book I used images from the
Both these stamp set have a similar look and feel in terms of their art work and they feature fruits and veggies. Plus if you take a close-up look on the artwork you will find so many details including fun phrases for every image. Just perfect for mixed media!

Wow Vicky! These three pages are just beautiful. So colorful. Perfect use of the color wheel.
And I LOVE those stamps! Which one is my favorite? Hmmm….ALL of them!
I love that you used so many different products on each page and your explanations of why you do the things you do sure helps to make me more creative.
I love your art journals. You always have a definite focal point on them. So many other art journals are just blobs of color or texture without anything recognizable.
You rock!!!!
I love those stamps!!
I love your Art Journal!
I would hang them on my wall, so gorgeous!!
My goodness you have quite a collection of art journals! Which means you’ve done a lot of videos on art journaling … and I appreciate each and every one of them. These pages certainly would look great in a kitchen as home decor pieces! What a great idea. I like those stamps and the washi tapes (especially the first one you used). These stamps remind me of Tim Holtz’s stamps from a while back, but I like how these have all kinds of different things around the image. The first set of mushrooms you colored are beautiful and I see what you mean about it not working on the page. I thought you were going to create a whole other background just for the mushrooms!!! Watching you create the backgrounds with watercolor reminded me of gelato sticks and that mine definitely need some love!! Thank you for the video, Vicky. I got my first vaccination shot today and have been feeling a little off (some mild side effects) so I’ve been resting. Watching you create and getting inspired for when I feel better is a perfect afternoon (and I certainly don’t mind not feeling 100% since it’s from getting 1 of 2 vaccination shots!!).
PS – I forgot to say that I would be very interested to hear your idea for binding art journal pages! You’ve got me hanging in suspense!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been doing 8.5″ x 11″ pages and putting them in a 3 ring binder. I’m interested in hearing another idea!!!
I love these cute and colorful pages! Especially the apples. I love the quote!! I like how you demonstrate how to pick background colors to go with your main images. LOL Like you said, you can always have an image for another project. I purchased some items to start my own journal! Your pages are so creative and colorful, I hope my pages are as interesting as your pages small and big. I can look at your pages on your blog and everywhere on the page I see something different. So fun! Thank you for giving me inspiration and ideas!!
Hi Vicky,
One word “ WOW” I love all these pages and what beautiful stamp sets, I will have to order these!
Yes I would like to know about another way of bounding an art journal. I have been punching just a round hole and put clip rings in them.
Thank you this was a great tutorial.
❤️
You always do such great work and your projects look wonderful. I can never get my backgrounds to look as lovely as yours. Although I do have a Happy Planner punch, I would like to see another way of binding pages together. Thank you for sharing and I am looking forward to your next art journal video.
Oh my goodness. I just love these pages. Sure would be hard to pick a favourite. Everything you do looks like so much fun. I think I need to ask for a Dyno tape machine for my birthday. Just love what you do with creating your own labels.
Love, love, love it!
These fruit pages are adorable. I enjoy watching you “build “ the backgrounds – even when the mushrooms needed a new background. Thanks for sharing how you change your mind.
So awesome Vicky! I think you can create every thing/object in to an awesome art journal page!
Thank you so much for your outstanding inspiration and tutorials, stay safe and have a great week.
