It’s Tuesday and time for a new art journal layout! Today I am sharing one more project inspired by the Sir Vagabond in Japan collection, designed by my friend Antonis Tzanidakis for Stamperia. You know I love this collection, those designs, the colors, the backgrounds… they are amazing! I want to make the most out of this collection so this is the 3rd art journal idea I share. At the end of this post I will link to the other two projects if you want to check them out!

I combined some of my favorite techniques on this project, including the “tiled background” and the “big brush marker shading”!

  1. Hi Vicky
When you pulled the stencil off on the right side. I was happy too. It looks great.
Both pages turned out beautiful. I really like quote you picked.
I have traveled a lot. I’ll have to use your quote in my art journal.

P.S. I also have a thing with maps of the world.

  2. WOW! Beautiful page!! I remember you doing tiles on other pages in the past and have tried the technique out a few times. It’s such a great technique and it goes so well on this page!! I just love your backgrounds. A while back after watching you create for some time, I got my first jar of gesso. It is beyond a doubt my favorite art supply! So versatile!! Thank you so much for the video, for sharing this beautiful page and for all the tips. Much appreciated, as always.

  3. Your tiles came out so pretty and with the gesso it really toned it down. I love watching you add color to your projects, it just makes everything stand out even more. I find Japan so interesting and the pages you created just made it look so beautiful! Thank you for your videos.

  4. Awesome pages Vicky.
I loved every stap of the process, the moment you brightend the colours every thing came to life, so great to see.
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and
    have a wonderful day.
