It’s mixed media Tuesday and I am back with a new art journal using vintage ephemera. I shared another page in the same style last week and the feedback was amazing so I just had to make one more. They are so much fun to create and I could make a whole journal just in this style.

close-up photos
Here are some close up photos where you can see the project better.
Starting with a kraft colored page makes a vintage looking project so much easier. I just added some color with my distress inks in a few areas and I didn’t even had to color everywhere.
I just love the smile on their faces! They make the page shine
I used lots of ephemera layers and to add a pop of color I added the green leaves in one area.

I just love the pop of color provided by the ferns! It really adds so much to this journal page and draws the eye right to the focal point! And the quote is endearing. Thank you so much for the tips on using ephemera. I’ve been using paper dolls on some cards and have struggled with building layers behind them. This week’s — and last week’s — video help me understand how to do it. I like tinting the paper dolls using a light color of alcohol ink, but in this instance leaving them black and white was such a great choice (note to self: the dolls don’t always have to be tinted!!!!). Thank you so much for the video, Vicky.
Gorgeous page, Vicky!!!!
Love the smile on the ladies, the globe behind them and your quote. Enjoyed watching you create your page! Thank you.
Great composition and colors. Everything goes together so well. Another winner Vicky, as usual. :))
Again an awesome page Vicky, love to see how you put everything together.
You are so very inspirational.
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful day.
Enjoyed your journal page. Your colors always look so pretty and the spot stamping makes a big difference. It does look a lot better when the people are smiling, just makes for a happier scene.
I really enjoyed your journal page! It inspires me to try something new.
Thanks!
