close-up photos

card 1 – polaroid focal point

When you have tiny images and you want to somehow make them into bigger focal points a great way to go is to turn them into polaroid photos. This way you enlarge the image while having a place to stamp your sentiment. You can repeat the same card design with all those little cut apart images included in your patterened papers.
A bit of fussy curring to pop elements on top can make any simple card look more special.

card 2 – blue tone on tone

One of my go to card designs is to stack rextangle panels one on top of the other. You get dimension, pop of color and visual texture from the paper designs.
Don’t forget to add gems, pearls or sequins on your cards… they magically make any card look more special.

card 3 – stawberries

A great way to use any busy patterned paper it the following card design. Just place the paper on an angle for interest and add a strip of color on top. Make sure it matches your paper. In this example I wanted to help the red pop even more.

Again a bit of fussy cutting to create a matching cluster is all it takes to make a very simple card into looking more special.

  1. Glad you’re taking time off—the heat in Greece sounds awful. And news of the terrible fires on several Greek islands is heart-breaking. Stay safe.

  2. Lovely cards, as usual. I love the way that you take something that is so simple and make it look amazing. Glad to hear that you are having a good summer. We are having some pretty high temperatures here is Southern California and I haven’t been in my craft room in weeks!

  3. I really like the poloroid look you create. One of these days I hope to remember to give it a try! Your newest Stamperia collectible pad has elements that remind me of the technique! I too have seen some of the news from Greece — how hot it is and the horrible wildfires. It sure sounds like your country is going through a tough time of things lately. I hope you are staying safe and that you are enjoying your time at the beach with family/friends. Thinking of you and keeping you and your country in my prayers. Thank you for the video.
