As always it was so much fun to create this tag and since I usually work relativly flat (cards and journal pages), tags always give me the opportunity to be more free with layers.
Here is a close up look… check out the washi designs as well as the stenciled sentence!

Such a fun tag! Thank you for introducing me to Volume Paste. I’ve had a jar for a while now and where other brands of paste dry out quickly (due to living in the desert), the Volume Paste has stood up and is still usable!! I was playing with the paste and a couple of your stencils yesterday on some wooden photo frames — to house photos from a recent trip. I just love the delicate floral stencil!! Although I had a lot of trouble getting the words to be readable. Any tips? I was also using various images from your recent — and past — collection as well as other Stamperia collections and was so excited to realize how well they can all blend together. That opens up a whole lot of possibilities!!! thank you, Vicky!
I hope to be able to read more interesting posts then. Will probably tell all of my friends about how smart you are age of war
Hi, It’s perfect! Thanks!
it’s an educational journey. By combining fun and learning, it motivates players to explore the world, making it a valuable resource for lifelong learners and curious minds alike.
this is absolutely stunning! i love how you incorporated the wooden shapes into the tag design – it adds such a nice dimensional element. the cat on books is such a cozy theme and you captured it perfectly with all those layers.
i totally relate to what you said about tags giving you more freedom with layers compared to flat cards and journal pages. there’s something about the smaller canvas that makes experimenting with texture and depth feel less intimidating, right?
the washi tape designs you chose work beautifully with the stenciled sentence – that combo really ties everything together. and i appreciate that you mentioned the video tutorial because i’ll definitely be watching it to see all those close-up details in action.
i’ve been meaning to try working with wooden elements in my mixed media projects but haven’t gotten around to it yet. this might be the push i need! do you have a favorite way to prep the wooden pieces before adding paint or medium? i’m curious if you seal them first or just paint directly.
thanks for sharing another wonderful tutorial – i always look forward to your posts! can’t wait to see what you create next in the series.
