The poppies really make the perfect focal point! This could be an art journal page or a card with a mixed media look and feel. The size is 6×6 and I combined lots of fun techniques to put this one together.

For the background I applied dye ink with a brayer, to get an uneven and patchy look. Then a bit of stenciling to add some more visual texture and interest. For my poppies, I used colored carstock to cut out all the pieces but a bit on ink blending really helped to add some extra depth.
To frame the poppies I used one of these frames from an older release that I keep going back to again and again! And I completed the project with a foiled sentiment from this set.
