Do you love doll paper piecing?! It’s such a fun activity and the new Spellbinders kit is perfect for it. Spellbinders have many monthly kits, such as card kits, and die kits. Today I am showcasing their January small die kit. Look what you get and they call all these dies a “small” kit!
You can play with the dies and create little boys and girls with different clothes and hair. Here is what I came up with
Isn’t she adorable?! The perfect card for a little birthday girl!

I cut out all the pieces using colored cardstock. To add that extra something on my card I did ink up the edges on some of the pieces with oxide inks. That little shading gives more dimension to the pieces and they don’t look as flat. You can also cut out all the pieces from white cardstock and color them with markers.
There are so many fun ways you can customize your kids. Use different hairstyles, different skin colors, cut out cloths from patterned papers and you can even give them jewelry! I added some earrings, but necklaces and bracelets are easy to add as well!

Vicky, happy New Year! I just loved this video!! As with all your tutorials your creativity and appreciation for detail shine through. It is always such a pleasure to watch you as you inspire us. I also love that you tell us a little bit about your beautiful spot in Greece. Much love going out to you ❤️
Adorable! I’ve been playing with Julie Nutting’s paper dolls and they are SO much fun. This die set reminds me of them. Lots of room for creating and having fun. I like that one can create a boy or girl. And this looks like such a fun project for a day where one is stuck inside due to a snow storm!! If you’re planning to come this way for Creativation in Phoenix this year, bring warm clothes! Here in Tucson (south of Phoenix but still in the desert) we had some snow the other morning. Temps have been REALLY cold this year. Brrrr!!!
She is super sweet and adorable 🙂
What a fun die set, reminds me of my youth. Than whe had to cut them out and I made my own dresses for them, use to be also a lot of fun .
Great card Vicky, thank you for showing.
Happy New Year. I love the cards and the dies. Thank you for sharing.
Happy New Year to you and your family. Love your card . My granddaughter would love a card like this. Thank you for the great tips.
What fun! Perfect for a snowbound day. 🙂
Hello Vicky! Happy New Year and Happy Snow Day too! Love your Paper Doll – she is so cute. Thanks, Denise
Adorable! I love your extras that make the card so sweet! Thank you!
Vicky, Ευτυχισμένος ο καινούριος χρόνος ! What an adorable card and your added touches make all the difference in the world in bringing this little girl to life! As a young girl, I loved to make paper dolls and their clothes with my friends! The die set is definitely very detailed with many options for which, I feel, Spellbinders is known. We are having an unusually warm and sunny winter so far in our part of the U.S. and have seen your winter snow on the evening news. Thank you for sharing!
Visiting your blog for the first time! Have a lovely year ahead! Wishing you lots of success and happiness!
