Hi! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!
Today I am back with 3 slimline cards sharing ideas on how to work on this type of cards with placement and design ideas. All my cards today are 3″ 1/2 x 8″ 1/5. For all my cards examples I am featuring new products from the latest My Favorite Things collection. I tried to pick my top 3 stamps to use today, which was a super difficult thing to do as every month they have such adorable stamp sets.

Slimline card idea 1
Repeat the same element along the card to create a portrait card. Just stick everything down by leaving some space for your sentiment. Here I used the same butterfly, but you can go with other elements such as flowers, hearts, birds, cupcakes….
Tip: Always use an odd number of elements… go for 3 or even 5 if they are smaller.
Stamp used: More Brilliant Butterflies( MFT | SSS )
Slimline card idea 2
Look in your stamp sets for long stamps that can cover a bigger area, and go for a vertical or horizontal card design accordingly. Here I used a plane and extended the design with a banner to make it even longer. Think of stacks of cups and long neck giraffes for a vertical card… a train or a car on a road for horizontal ones! Extend your designs to cover up bigger real estate on your card by adding filler images… I have clouds here…. add flowers or trees in a little scene, or even a few gems to add some interest.
Stamp used: High-Flying Adventure ( MFT | SSS )
Slimline card idea 3
Create scenes with critters! A slimeline card is the perfect size for critter scenes and I am sure you all have stamp sets like there!
Just ink up the sky, add some grass and arrange your images! Super fun and super adorable!
stamp used: BB Spring Gnomes Die-namics ( MFT | SSS )

Great job Vicki!
I adore those butterflies and what you did with them! That’s my favorite card of the 3. The slim line card “bug” (trend) hasn’t grabbed me (yet anyway), but I think that design could work for a standard card too! Thank you for the video, Vicky. What a wonderful surprise to see a video from you over a weekend!!
Awesome cards!! They are so cute.
Fantastic cards . Thank you.
Hi Vicky,
Today I worked on a mixed media canvas with a gnome, his house and all kinds of other things around him. So my favorite card is the one with the cute gnomes! It seems like gnomes are in style these days.
Lovely video thank you for popping in on this Sunday❤️
such cute cards
Love the little gnomies! I don’t know what it is about them, but they are so CUTE! Those ears crack me up!
Thank you for all the slim line ideas– I really like the “mini” slim line size these days.
Gorgeous cards Vicky. Great tip, create scenes on a slimline card, I have several cute stamp to make a scene but always find the way above the little critters difficult to fill in. These cards are great for that.
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful day.
