I can’t believe it’s Friday already! When you are on a break from day job days just fly by.
But since it’s Friday let’s play with the new Lilypad Challenge. This week the challenge is super easy. All you have to do is make a card inspired by anything you saw on the blog during April. It can be a card from the Design Team, a card submitted by a reader or you could get inspired by any post. The prize is $25 gift card to my favorite e-shop SimonSaysStamps.
One of the most challenging things in cardmaking for me is making masculine cards. And this is because all the products and the stamps I keep buying are too cute! Today’s card was inspired by Nancy’s card here but I also challenged myself to make a masculine card.
Here is my card using a new collection by BasicGrey and Hero Arts. Scroll down for a list of supplies used and don’t forget to visit lilypad here to look at the cards of the rest of the design team.
For this card I stamped the kraft cardstock with versamark ink and then used “crystal clear” embossing powder which is sparkly. I paper pieced the ice cream and I used some papers from the same collection as the stamps for layering. Some glossy accent and the thread are the final touches.
