Today I am sharing three cards using supplies from the September Card kit by SimonSaysStamp.

What I love about those kits is that you get supplies you wouldn’t normally order as a cardmaker/mixed media artist. So I fell in love with those acetate 3×4 cards!

Although they are supposed to be used on project life, I can not think a better acetate to use for your shaker cards! The kit also comes with gesso and I will be sharing a couple of ways to use it creatively in your cards.

CARD 1:

For my first card I paper pieced the balloons and used the adorable patterned paper from the kit. I have also used gesso over the stencil to create a white on white embossed effect for my card base.

CARD 2:

For the second card I used a lovely 3×4 acetate card to create a shaker window. I have also used gesso to add some splashes and make the background more interesting.

CARD 3:

Another shaker card using a colorful patterned paper and a beautiful acetate card.  For the sentiment I die cut the word hello and placed it directly on the acetate.
