Christmas are just around the corner and today I have to share a fun project with you!
It’s a Christmas Configuration Box, or shadow box to decorate your home for the season.
It was so much fun to decorate each and every little space. My hot glue gun finally got used to stick everything down. I kept the colors and everything inside traditional since red, green and gold is my favorite Christmas combination.
Here are some close-up photos! I even wrapped little craft wooden blocks with fabric to create tiny little gifts!
Check out the snowglobe with Santa and those cute little jingle bells.
What I love the most about this shadow box is the lantern that is actually contented to battery and lights up!
I just had to stick inside everything I could find, from holly berries to metal tokens!
I also added cute little bottles with gold seeds inside
and the Christmas tree is also looking great with gesso as snow and with brads for ornaments

Just stunning! I’ve had my Configurations boxes for a while now and am still “collecting” supplies to use in them. Thanks for giving such wonderful inspiration!
Vicky, As you finish a project, it becomes my new favorite. But this time, you have outdone yourself! Seriously, I do not know how you are going to top this one.
I just absolutely LOVE this box. I love all the little ephemera and fun touches you used. So many cute ideas! The lantern is fabulous…where did that come from. I don’t care how many times you said “hole”…it is wonderful. You truly inspire me and boost my creativity. I want to make a whole slew of these for next Christmas. I just love, love, love this project! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Margaret J. P.S. Thanks for bringing Ginger into the picture too…I have missed him!
I could sit and watch you create all night long. This box is absolutely stunning. I would have that in my home decor proudly displayed. It’s beautiful. Isn’t it fun that Tim Holtz provides the most wonderful bits and bobs to create with? Great job Vicky. Merry Christmas to you.
Hi Vicky !
So lovely project ! And so nice to see you, as well as Ginger, in the video 🙂
In decorative painting, to create the illusion of snow, we use a product by DecoArt Americana called Snow Tex. I think that if you try it, you’ll love it !!! When I’m painting some ornaments for my christmas tree, I can’t stand away from this Sno Tex !!!
As always, your projects are so awesome and lovely !!
I wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year !
Kisses from France 🙂
Ms. Vicky, this entire week I have stayed up late watching your videos! You are such a blessed woman as God have you such an amazing talent! Because if you, I plan to put my graphic design skills to work and to finally try my hand at card making and anything else I make! I always shied away from card making because I’m no good at measurements at all! But, I have a grid mat just as you do (Self healing) and I think I will be alright with that. I plan to get my materials that I need at the first of the year and try some practicing before I mass produce it. The almighty God and you have really unlocked something deep within me and I thank you for it! Have a very Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hi Vicki, another wonderful project. I have one of these configuration boxes in a cupboard somewhere- your example has really inspired me to get it out and “give it a go”
