One of my best blog friends is talented Virginia. Not only she is amazingly creative when making cards but she is also an excellent cook. If you follow her blog I am sure you agree! Virginia is starting a new challenge series on her blog. She is posting a new cookie recipe every Wednesday until Christmas. What we have to do is get inspired and make the cookies or a card… or both!

So Virginia, this week I am playing along with a card and the cookies! I have to say the cookies turned out so yummy I could hardly save half a dozen for a photo! The kids, dad and me loved them!

Visit Virginia’s blog for a link to the recipe from Martha Stewart.  They are filled with chocolate sauce and at some of them I’ve put an almond on top.

Now for the card, I had to make a round one, after making (LOL) eating all those round cookies. I’ve used my digital cutter to make all those patterned paper circles and embossed the letters. Scroll down for a list of supplies.

Yes I know… letter “S” is upside down… but who cares? off to eat my cookies! Thanks for visiting 🙂

  1. LOVE this, Vicky!! You are just the BEST for thinking outside the box (in this case, outside the cookie cutter!)! Your cookies look just like Martha’s!!! And the card….YUMMY! Thank you for joining the fun with me! Love the pocket holder for the recipe! Ingenius idea and design! PS: did not notice the upside down “S” at all 🙂

  2. Love your card…it’s too wonderful for words! And those cookies are calling my name; we are expecting rain this weekend, perfect weather for cookie baking!
    blessings to you, Vicky
