Sunday! My favorite day of the week where I get to post my video and read all your lovely comments! Whooo hooo!

I have tons of new exclusice SimonSaysStamp products in the house, including dies and stamp sets. So will see me using them a lot in the future. And here is the card I made for you today:

and here is a closer look

I just love that tree die! It has so much potential. You can add hearts or little bows for cute cards, leaves for fall/spring cards, ornaments for Christmas cards, lollipops for birthday cards… I could go on for ever!! Actually every tiny stamp you have could be used to “dress” your tree.

I usually get comments saying that I make cardmaking look so easy, or how fast I work etc. Well you have to know that video editing is my BFF and I am just a messy cardmaker just like everybody else. So today I didn’t delete what happened in the end!

Watch and laugh! ha!!!!

You can enjoy the video below or at my YouTube channel in HD.

I am making an effort to post mid-week videos. I made it last week and I have another ready for this coming week… so yes, bonus videos will pop up more often.

Hope you had fun watching the video and got inspired. Happy Sunday everyone!

  8. Hi Vicky,
I loved your card, especially the matching stamps and dies-what possibilities lay ahead!-
It reassured me, that you are also “only human” when you glued the card upside down. Everything always looked so easy and faultless in your videos so far. Thanks for sharing that with us!! I always enjoy your cards, they are an inspiration and give me many ideas as well as new techniques. Thank you for all the time you invest in your crafting and share it with us.
Have a nice week and I look forward to your mid-week card.
    Best regards from Germany, Gisa

  9. Love this card and your videos are always wonderful – even with a mistake! You had good luck peeling back the adhesive – I probably would have cut the front off and mounted it on another card! All of us have done exactly the same thing! The stamp set & dies are fabulous! Thanks so much!

  10. This card is created with such love and heartfelt thoughts (and yes, even the mistakes we card makers make all too often…)! Love your video and how you make the stamp set/die set shine! A treat to see as always, Vicky!

  11. hahaha!! That was fun!! I love it when you have new goodies in the house. More fun for your blog readers! You are right, that tree has lots of possibilities for all seasons. Lovely card today!

  12. Love you sweet a-peel-ing card! I’m in the un-a-peel-ing group! I never have any luck peeling the front of the card off without destroying it. I’m a cut the card and remounting the whole front of the card. Thanks for sharing your story with us–we all do it!

  13. Hi Vicky ~ Another absolutely darling card! Thank you so much for always making my Sunday a little “Brighter”!!! Looking forward to your next video, as always!

  14. Adorable card. I love that tree too. Wish I had it! You’ve inspired me to go make a card. Love the BOnus videos!! Thanks….. .as always.

  15. Vicky,

Such an aordable card! I wrote to you on youtube, as well, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your cards and videos! I’ve been having a youtube video marathon watching all of your videos the last few days and I think I’ve finally seen them all now, lol!

Thanks for sharing. I have learned so many things and I can’t wait to try some new techniques!

    Merilee

      1. I have also seen them all!! And some more than once! What I LOVE about your videos is the fact that you don’t do audio. Sometimes I need to watch with the speakers off and with your videos I can! The sub-titles make sure I don’t miss anything.

  16. Great card and I just love the colors… it will be great for a Springtime project. I got a kick out of your video because I can’t count the number of times I have done the same thing. It is to the point that I keep checking the orientation before I place the layer on it, and even after I’ve checked I’ll check one more time. After all I believe there is a gremlin in my craft room that hides my scissors, adhesive, acrylic blocks and sponges and turns my folded card around! haha!

  17. Hi Vicky, Love your video’s and look forward to each one!
Just wondering what it was you used to pick up the little hearts before you stuck them down? I need a little tool that does that cos I have big clumsy fingers lol!
    Thanks, Lee x

  18. Always love seeing your videos no matter when you make them! So inspiring. Thanks for sharing and not leaving the oopsy. ; )

  19. Vicky
I laughed my head off when I saw how you finished the card..I’ve done that before to but I just cut it off and re mount on another card stock.. I can never get it off the way you did.

loved the fun card..all your cards are fun

    pat

  20. Thank you so much for showing us you make mistakes too! I do that all the time. Your tutorials look so easy. Thank you for sharing your great ideas. LOVE your blog!

  21. Very enjoyable video and not only because of the “oops” moment. I always enjoy your video’s.
    Eveline.

  22. Yay it’s not just me doing things like that. Love this card. I especially love the tree die. It’s on my wish list. The hearts just finished it off too. Thanks for all your videos. Love watching

  23. Vicky, I never miss your cards and video shares. This is another great one! Question that I hope you’ll have time to answer: I have a cricut, but just don’t use it a lot. I’m doing more cardmaking & less scrapbooking these days & have been thinking a die cut machine would be great. I keep going back and forth on which one: Cuttlebug, Big Shot/Kick, or something else? Cuttlebug, which I see that you use, just seems like the one I want….I love the idea of it’s portability vs. the others that look big/heavy. Any thoughts? Thanks for weighing in on this if you have time…

    1. Hi Penny!
now that is a difficult question for me to answer. You see I own a Silhouette and a Cuttlebug but not a BigShot so I can’t really compare. Truth is I love my Cuttlebug because it does the job, is portable, easy to store and well… it’s cute! ha!
But I would love to have a BigShot Sizzix just to be able to cut larger and wider pieces. I might invest in one actually.

  24. Adorable card. Love to see that I’m not alone in making that same mistake!! So glad that most times it’s fixable! Not always though… Super cute card and video, thanks for sharing!

  25. Beutiful work as always!!! But where do I buy the tool that You used in the card home is where the heart is. And the adhesive paper that used when You colores this card? Thank you
