Hi friends! Hope you are all well and safe. As I stay home these days I keep myself busy with crafting and I have the pleasure to be a guest designer over at the SimonSaysStamp blog today with one of my art journal layouts. For my page I used products from the latest collection designed by my super talented friend Antonis Tzanidakis for Stamperia. It’s a wonderful collection with lots of goodies including stamps, amazing papers, stencils, wood die cuts, chipboard pieces, molds, tissue papers and so much more!

Make sure to watch the video above for a step by step tutorial on how I made my art journal layout using many mixed media techniques. Here are some close up photos below where you can see better the details and all the texture!
For my background I worked with just two colors of distress paint! Can you believe you can get all this texture just with two colors?! Just make sure to pick the correct ones, that match the pieces you are going to stick on top. Collage is one of my favorite techniques and with the wonderful designs in the SEA WORLD paper pad I just went to town!
I added visual texture on my background with stamps that are matching my theme using the
SEA WORLD LADY and the SEA WORLD OCTOPUS
I also added some texture with Glamour Paste and you can see some close ups here
The steampunk seahorse is absolutely amazing and it also comes as a stamp!
I also created a border using strips of paper that I cut out from the pad.
Here is a close-up on the page… can you see that lovely texture? It’s because I am working on one of the cotton pages on the blue journal by Dina Wakley.

This is one of my favourite colour combinations. The sea element is bonus! Gorgeous page Vicki. What stunning papers and stamps.
stay safe
its amazing!
WOW! Such a different look from you!!! This is such a unique collection. Personally I’m not into creating “steam punk”, but I love what you did with your art journal page!! I do really like the lady and would love to see what you do with her. Thank you for the video. As always, lots of tips, reminders and inspiration to create. Much appreciated. May you and your loved ones be healthy and safe. I just finished a mixed media project/shadow box which will be a gift for my neighbor’s daughter who is finishing(?) high school this year and moving onto college. If it hadn’t been for confinement, I would never have made this or thought to give it away as a gift. Thank you for all that you’ve taught in your videos. I love this little project; had so much fun making it; and much of what I did with it came from what I learned from you!!!!! Thank you, thank you.
This is just stunning! Love your eye for color.
This is knock your socks off COOL!!! You are so good at your craft!!!
Beautiful journal page. Great colours . Love everything , the page is fantastic.
Stunning page Vicky! Although all the elements are single layered they have such a dimension, awesome. What a great new collection by Stamperia, I love this one.
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful day.
Gorgeous!!
This is my all time favourite. That’s because I love steampunk. I too love browns blues and the grunge. I had seen her stamps but I hadn’t seen the paper pack. When you were showing it. Omg I have to have that!! I’m already creating the art journal pages in my head.
This off topic. I have created many things in my brain. Too many to remember. So I’m going to have a bowl and when I think of something I want to make. Sketch it out and in the bowl.
I hope once your room is unpacked to your liking we will get another view.
Happy crafting
Absolutely stunning page Vicky. So vibrant for using only two colours. Amazing
good afternoon
i would like to know the color of the big brush you used. i cannot see it in the video.
