Welcome back to another mixed media Tuesday! Following last week’s method today I am creating another layout using the same steps to showcase another example and demonstrate how it comes with lovely projects every time!
7 steps recipe
- use 2 colors of dye inks and blend them at the background
- add splatters
- use a stencil (with paste or blend ink)
- background stamping
- create focal point by combining ephemera, rub-ons, cut outs
- add highlights and white splashes
- add your quote

I just love the fact that my Ginger is featured in the ephemera pack of my new collection! How cute is it to be able to use my cat in my layouts? The beauty of designing your own collection is that you get to create what you love the most!!!
The idea on this layout was to use the leaves and flowers as if they are coming from inside the gramophone. Everything is from the ephemera pack.
There are also matching rub-ons in the collection that you can use to embellish your composition even more if you like.
For the background I went with Burgundy and Coffee dye inks from my collection as well as a stencil and some stamps. Everything is linked below.
I always finish off my projects with some white splashes, my white gel pen and a quote. Here I even added some black outlining on the ephemera with a thin black marker. I think I forgot to film this part and it doesn’t show in the video.

The cat is just too adorable! Does Ginger know he’s a star?!!! Beautiful page and I really like how scattering the flowers, leaves and pearls around give the look of it all coming out of the gramophone. Such fun! Sure, I’d like to see some video of your trip! I don’t get involved with social media so if you wouldn’t mind putting together a video, I’d like to see what you were up to! Hope you had a fun time and that your travels home (maybe you’re already home as I write this) were safe. Thank you for the video and for the new collection. Looking forward to placing an order and having some fun playing!
As always, your journal page is beautiful! I love the vintage look and especially using the victrola with the kitty. Your whole composition is amazing! Thank you.
All I can ever say about your pages is that they are exquisite! I love the way you think and create. I am still awaiting delivery of some of your second release and check every day to see if they are off of PREORDER! Thank you so much for your videos and tips.
