Hi! Today I am back with a double page layout on my art journal. I played with products from the Cosmos collection designed by my friend Cristina Radovan for Stamperia. September is my birthday month so a layout using my sign was perfect!

close-up photos

Here are some close up photos where you can see all the details better! Check out the stenciling  with the glamour paste, now this is really shinny in real life but too hard to catch on camera.

Acrylic paints, paste and stencil, splatters and stamping make such an interesting backdround!

I used cut outs from the Cosmos collection to create my background as well as my focal points.

I also added some chipboars words over my sign! I had so much fun making this page.

  1. Lovely work…..not into astrology so this is not a collection for me. Cannot wait for you to get back to your collection!

  2. First … Happy Birthday!!!! So many great techniques to try in this video. The way you did the “tiles” around the edge (reminded me of the page you did years ago where you made tiles for a project) really sets the background in the back and gives so much dimension to your page! I’ve tried mixing paint for a background but am still having a problem getting the paints to blend the way yours look. Not sure what I need to do differently, but will keep trying b/c I really like the look and enjoy using paints as a change up from inks. I’m intrigued by the way you used a brush with ink to create dimension (it was fun to watch the page come to life in real time!). Thank you for the video and I hope you have — or had — a very Happy Birthday!!!

  3. Hey Vicky, this is so beautiful, as is your stamperia collection! Love it all.

What is the block you use to add paint to your roller? I’ve been looking for one for ages, but have no idea what to search for, so any help would be great.

Many thanks, hope you’re having a great week

    1. Thank you! This is a jelly plate that I am using… it is made for printing but works great as a palette for my brayer. Other times I just use the acetate bags from products… just one way to use them before throwing them away.
