Welcome to another mixed media Thuesday. I am playing with my 7 steps method today, making is super easy to put together a page. Perfect for beginners. Here are the 7 steps that I have been following on this 6×6 journal pages… only two more pages to go and I will move on to different techniques!
1. use rice paper as your background
2. apply a bit of white acrylic paint, with a spatula, a dry stiff brush or even as a watercolor wash
3. do some stamping
4. do some stenciling
5. put together your focalpoint by using images from scrapbook papers or ephemera
6. add some doodling with your fine black pen and your white gel pen
7. add a quote

Check how the stenciling with volume paste adds texture and interest on the background. Combined with the rice paper designs and the stamping provide the best base for your focal points.
For my quotes I like to combine different options… so here I went with die cut alphabet letters and a label maker
She is my favorite from the Secret Diary collection pad… don’t tell my other ladies shhh!
