Hi! Today I have a mixed media project for you, a canvas with lots of dimention using fun techniques. You can see many of the products from my latest Stamperia collection Oh La La in action too.

video tutorial

You can enjoy the video below or at my YouTube channel

close-up photos

The canvas I am working on is 8×8 and I combined papers, ephemera, decorative chips, rub-onsm, stamps and of course the mold!

Look at all the gorgeous shine on the Eiffel Tower! It looks like I spend a lot of time bringing all that detail into life but check the technique on the video and you will see how easy it is!

Stamping and rub-ons add those extra touches to the project that bring the composition together somehow.

Make sure to watch the video for a step by step tutorial and scroll down for the list of supplies.

  1. WHOA! That’s a beautiful project! The black is stunning and yet blends nicely/easily with a sort of vintage feel! Interesting and fascinating combination! The script used for the word “Paris” is so beautiful and elegant, and the polaroid with the postcards goes so well together! I’ve used gesso to knock back a design on paper for a background. I’d like to remember to try paint and a brayer. I really like the look and appreciate the tips on how to do that. Merci beaucoup, Vicky! So happy you’re back again!!!
