pumpkins art journal

Let’s welcome fall today, with a pumpkin themed art journal! It’s a page great for beginners and again I am following the same steps that I showcased in detail here. Just follow the same technique and switch colors and focal points and you can create really easily with this art journal “recipe”.

Beautiful page! Love fall colors and I especially love the background. There’s a definite border to your project, but not all even and too neat or finished looking. More organic (not sure I’m using the right words) looking Lovely!! I’d really like to remember to give that a try as it adds so much texture and a variety of shades of color without having to do much work! Stamperia’s idea to do paper cut outs is a great one! I like to fussy cut, but having images pre-cut is even better!! Thank you so much for the class!!

  2. Hi Vicky, I love your art! I purchased the Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer Watercolour Markers, thinking that’s what you used in the art journal page to put shading on the pumpkins.

I’m not having any luck trying to blend them like you did in the video. You just used your fingers and it looks like they shaded your pumpkins, leaves, ect. When I try my “mark” just sits there and doesn’t move. Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong. I so want my art journal page to turnout as much like yours looked as possible, not that I can make it look at wonderful as you do, but where I at least like how it looks. Thank you soooo much. I look forward to Tuesdays every week to see your new project.
