After a long time and since many of you were asking for it, it was about time to share another art journal page!

Although I love making them, they require sometime as well as double the time on video editing, uploading etc. I managed to finish this page working in three days for a couple of hours each. Well, I am a detail maniac, I don’t like messy pages and I prefer taking my time for an outcome that pleases me. In conclusion, it’s not as quick as creating a card in 20 minutes. But it’s more rewarding and fills than need to be creative and play with us much of your supplies as possible.

So here is what I made, inspired by autumn obviously!

photo 1-001

The leaves are die cuts using a Tim Holtz die, I also used distress inks, distress paints, gelatos and markers.

And guess what? I created the pumpkins from scratch… no stamping… just drawing! Here is a close-up:

On the chipboard alphabet I used crackle paint and the effect was just amazing. Check it out below:

And here is a closer look to the  die cut and distressed leaves. The acorns are form the blueprints Tim Holtz stamp collection.

  23. Your journals and cards are an inspiration! I’ve not been scrapbooking long and your videos have helped me tremendously with ideas and tools. My son was very talented with great potential in many areas but he became a victim of cancer and passed away 3 days after his 24th birthday. I want to tell the story of his life in an artistic and creative manner that he would be proud of. You have certainly given me a vision of how to accomplish my goal in excellent videos. Thank you so much for sharing!

  24. Every time I watch another of your videos, I think, “No wait, THIS one’s my favorite!”. They’re ALL my favorites, is that possible … I’m a novice to art journals, having only 4 layouts to my name now, but with your video tutorials, I’ve made SO many notes on what I want to do different (and better!) thanks to you … Beautiful work, thank you for the inspiration.

  25. You are amazing! I feel like I can do this!!! Thank you so much for the inspiration! God Bless! Pamie G.

  26. Hello I love your ‘Fall ‘ journal page. I don’t see the name of the script stamp nor do I see the product name for the chip board heart embellishments. Can you give me those products names please? Again my thanks. I love your work!

  27. Vicky, I just recently came across your blog and I am addicted! Every art Journal Page I go through I say wow you are so talented page after page. I really want to thank you for sharing. You are the best.
