After popular demand today I am sharing another art journal layout!
I have been wanting to use this dress form on one of my pages for quite some time now and I finally paired beautifully with this quote!
To make it look even more realistic and add more texture on my layout I used canvas to cover the main part of the dress form.
For my background I used many of my favorite techniques, such as tissue paper, distress paints, embossing and shading with big brush markers. But One of my favorite parts of this layout is the zipper!
And although it looks complicated it was actually too simple to attach it. I am really happy with how the page came out and I love the focal points as much as the background.

Thank you all for visiting!
Brilliant page, Vicky! Love the pretty colors and all the different added elements! That zipper makes it so fun! ♥
Love the colours and how you create the depth using the brown big brush marker. Really enjoyed the video thanks for sharing! Ali
The zipper is amazing! What a creative idea. I have lots of old sewing patterns from back when I used to make my own clothes. Those could be used in place of the tissue paper–you’ve got my creative juices flowing–Thanks!
Worth the wait! Love this – I wish I had an ounce of your creativity. This is beautiful and inventive, and I absolutely love it!!
Thanks for sharing your videos. I love watching the process!
Wow! Love it!
Another great page, Vicky!
You are always so much fun. I love to see how you put things together to come out with a great layout. Someday I will get the nerve to try one.
your work is always amazing. I enjoy your videos so much. Your very inspiring
Just amazing. Another magnificent background and I love how you added the zipper.
I remain in awe! You put a zipper on your page! Wow, what a nice touch.
Appreciate seeing Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet in action. They aren’t colours I’ve used before. You paired it so nicely with the Wild Honey. Love it. The trick with the Black Soot and Antiqued Bronze is genius.
Awesome video as well as beautiful designed page!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful page, I love everything about it. Well done.
Oh how I enjoy your art journal videos, Vicky. This one is as awesome as the others. I love the zipper and the stencil.
Thanks so much for sharing. Loved this page.
Lovely page! One of my favourites!!
Imagine. Create. Inspire. Those words describe you perfectly! Beautiful page as always. The zipper is awesome!!
Wonderful as usual. Thanks for another wonderful and inspirational video!
Very neat!! What made you decide to not make the zipper completely work? So you could use it as an interactive piece on your page. I love it anyways and you always inspire me!!! Some day I will show what little bit I have in my Mixed Media Journal but I do what to do a lot more!!! So for now I will just keep watching you do yours and DREAM!!
love it!

Totally awesome pages, as always, Vicky! Love that zipper technique!
WOW – WONDERFUL layout – it is SEW LOVELY!!!
oops – I clicked post too soon … I meant to say page!!!
LOVE how EASY you made it to insert the zip and think it would be FUN to add one as a feature to layouts, maybe even a card … going to check out just how small zippers can be 🙂
Always learn some and am inspired by your work in the art journal.
As a sewing addict I love this page.
I even “borrowed” the “stiching” for my Tim Holtz “Tag of the Month”

Your videos are always inspiring and amazing. The zipper is such a fabulous addition to the page. A perfect touch! (I know you didn’t use the Ranger glaze medium on this page, but when you DO use it to make the Distress inks permanent, what adhesive do you think holds best? I used some of the glaze and had to use staples to hold the embellishments on the page. Any advice would be most welcome.) Thanks for all your wonderful posts and videos. Keep inspiring the rest of us. Thank you.
Miss Vicky this is probably one of my favorite pages from your journal! I love the use of canvas on the dress form and wow- that zipper idea is precious! Can’t wait to do a page inspired by this one!
