My new distress oxide inks are finally here!
I have been playing with them since they got here! Testing them out, to get familiar with all the new properties and the possibilities on new techniques. New projects along with how-to videos are coming up, so stay tuned!
I have to say though, that these inks kind of do the job on their own! So easy to blend them together for amazing backgrounds! Plus they stamp great! Here is what’s on my craft table right now!
I just wanted to let you know of a great deal on the oxide inks over at scrapbook.com, $4.99 each! If you haven’t got them already or you want to complete your collection they are currently on sale. No coupon code needed, but the sale expires in 3 days!

can’t wait to get these!
Looks like you are having fun. Cannot wait for my inks to arrive. I ordered them from the UK at 60 euros for the entire set with free shipping to Greece. I’ve checked out scrapbook.com several times, but I’m afraid their international shipping costs are really putting me off. I wonder if their prices are low enough (compared to other US companies) to outweigh the shipping costs?
You got a great deal! Ordering from the US for all Europeans is not a great idea due to the super expensive shipping!
LOL! I know how you feel. I order from Stamperia all the time and pay more on shipping than on my items! I wish they offered a discount coupon! I love their products and that is why I pay the ENORMOUS shipping cost. š
I forgot to mention, I live in the USA! š
Hello if could only buy 5 which five would you buy?
Thank you.
I would go with a rainbow order to get a few colors to be able to play with. So I would get worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, cracked pistachio and broken china. But then again you should get the colors you love and use… for example I am OK without the violet, but if you love purple?
I never really liked Cracked Pistachio, but recently I was in a class where they combined it with the new Oxide Vintage Photo and changed my mind on the color. Looking forward to your creations.
what is the stamp you used? love it!
It is a sample stamp set by Tonic studios, not available in the market yet.
You have been an inspiration for me since I started scrapbooking and card making. Thank you
Hi Vicky!
I can’t wait to get my fingers on these! I have a question about them, and was wondering if you know if they are permanent once they are dry?
Just wanted to know because I’d like to use them for making backgrounds in my art journal and would like to seal them with matte medium…
Thanks so much and I LOVE your blog and utube videos! ā¤
Hi Tammie, no they are not permanent when they dry. They will always react with water
Vicky,
Your work is outstanding…and extremely helpful. Two questions: 1. RE: Journaling, 2. RE: Oxide Inks.
1. Using 75 lb paper journal…when I apply a thin coat of Multi Media to adhere two pages together, they do not dry smooth, which yours appear to be. What am I doing wrong?
2. How do Oxide Inks differ from Distress Inks?
Thank you so much for your inspiration,
Anne
Hi Anne, thank you for the lovely feedback! On your questions:
1. do you deep your brush in water when you apply matte medium? do it with a dry brush!
2, they are a whole new formula that gives you an oxide, kind of chalky look when you wet it. Also the colors don’t turn brown when you “over-mix” them so you can layer one on top of the other without loosing the texture. You need to see Tim’s video demoing the inks at Creativation. Look for it on YouTube.
Hope I’ve helped!
going this weekend to the Rubber Stamp Convention and hope to get my hands on some….thanks for sharing š
oh its great deal but shiping is to much for Croatia!
Ok.. I love what’s on your craft table, so I can’t wait to see your videos. Thanks so much for sharing! ?
Woohoo! Thanks for the heads-up! I started my collection!
