September is the month that schools open in Greece. And that means I have to go back to work.
So, I decided to make 4 cards+videos themed “Back to school”.
I will be uploading one video every day so make sure to check them out! Hope you’ll enjoy them.
I had so much fun making them 🙂
Enjoy the video and then scroll down for a list of the supplies used. Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for another one 😉
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiss from the sun , Clouds
Inks: Versamark, Wild Honey
Papers: Oliver, Max&Whiskers
Other supplies: Maya Road Deborah, Shimmer Chalks, QuickStik tool
So cute card I love all the little birds =P
That is soooo darn cute. I have a question though. When you used the heat tool, what does that do? Does it set the chalks? I’ve never seen that done before.
thanks for the great video!
I used versamark to stamp, then chalk on top, but the versamark wasn’t dry yet and I had the feeling that if I used the heat tool it would actually set the chalk… so I gave it a try and it worked 🙂
Thanks, I’ll have to remember that!
too cute!! love it!
This was a super unexpected surprise! Oh wow and 3 more days, I can’t wait. You come up with the neatest ideas (I just wish you’d quit using new things I know I now won’t be able to live without!!!)
Tell DH Hi! And great music!!
Do you have to heat set the chalks? Or do you have to always heat set Versamark? Which tiny dimensionals are you using? I saw this in a couple of videos back and not sure which ones they are?
Hi Patti, thanks for the comment! I was just testing Versamark with chalk and it came out great. The chalk really sticks there. But the ink wasn’t dry yet so I had that thought to heat set it… well just testing it out.
The dimentionals I am using are different versions of “Stick it”. They come in squares and circles and in many sizes. Here is a link of the e-shop that I get them but it’s in Europe http://www.craftsulove.co.uk/adhesives.htm
Brilliant! I love it. Can’t wait for the other three! Great job, and keep ’em coming!
How cute and fun! I had to re-wind to see Aris’s big and talented “thums up” (LOL)!! Can’t wait to see what you create in this series!
I meant “thumb”! You ( and Aris) are so creative !!
Thanks! Another great card and video! Never saw the chalk idea either and thanks for sharing that tip. Hugs!!
Gorgeous card!! Love your videos, thanks for sharing!
Absolutely adorable …. can’t wait until tomorrow for the 2nd card.
Adorable! Can’t wait for the next video!
Awesome card design! I love the little birdies flying back to their school house. So cute.
I used my QuickStik yesterday for the first time; a very handy tool.
Fabulous techniques…I just love seeing how you construct your brilliant designs, Vicky! I got a set of chalks recently but hadn’t used them, now with this perfect idea to use them with Versamark I’m breaking them out to use them today. Thanks so much for sharing your creative genius with us. Can’t wait to see the rest of this series of cards.
blessings to you!
Ah, another stunning card. Thank you.
Fabulous everything! I also had a question about heat setting, but you answered it. the card is awesome. I love your work. Thanks for all your hard work.
What a great suprise, for us, after all that time without, this is wonderful, and what creative little ideas, with a few products. Love it Vicki…
YOU ALWAYS LEAVE ME .. BREATHLESS!
In back to school 1/4 you used some very nice country letter stamps for “back to”…. where did you buy it?
Thank you Vicky.
Ciao

Ditto on the comments already posted. Always amazed at how you’ve got the latest and greatest living half way around the world. How on earth do you get the latest Hero Arts stamps and cool 6×6 papers. You’re impressive and inspirational. Thanks for keeping this site so interesting.
Thanks Peggy, you are too sweet 🙂
Well, the truth is I order everything from USA and most of the time it takes about 20 days for the box to arrive! It always seems like ages, checking the mailbox everyday… but when it finally arrive it’s like I have my birthday! LOL
For some reason the shimmer chalks can’t be shipped to the U.S. – I just tried ordering them from Amazon in the UK but was told the item couldn’t be shipped. Anybody else found them inside the the States, somewhere?
